Bad anime : The animation, the writing, and just plain out bad.

SD Gundam Force was only bad for the first half of Season 1 and the first 5 or so episodes of Season 2. Everything else ruled.

Funny thing is, soon after that the show does pretty much become The Harima Show (Karasuma gets, like, 5 appearences in the second half of Season 1) before Tenma goes back to being a co-star in Season 2. Seriously, after watching the second half of Season 1, I began to wonder why Tenma was plastered over everything when Harima's the one the episodes focus on.

Nope. Never heard of them. :P

Not that. You were saying he sounded like he was full of himself and all that, I just posted saying he wrote that book which doesn't come off as something a person like that'd write.

I just got done watching Magikano. Bad, bad series. I think I laughed a total of three times in all. Look for a TZ review coming soon.

Oh come on, Grenadier wasn't THAT bad. Certainly not an "A" title, but light-weight fun. And I thought it was kinda refreshing how we had a gun-touting character who would rather win enemies over with a smile rather than blowing them to bits. Of course, she would often HAVE to resort to gunfire, but that's beside the point.

And I still disagree with you about My-Otome. Just curious: How much of the show did you watch? Because it gets pretty decent after the halfway point when numerous plot threaRAB develop. The whole show isn't pointless school-based comedy antics and fanservice. Though it should be noted that I welcomed the lighter tone to it; Hime got way too melodramatic for my tastes at times.

Let's just agree we're looking for consenus rather than iron-clad fact. It will help.

Anyways, bad anime. Has anyone mentioned the utterly peculiar boobfest/failed magical girl pilot that was Jungle de Ikou? I remeraber hearing someone being scared of it.

Well I wouldn't say I hate Dragon Ball GT because it did keep me entertained and I really got into some moments. I would say on a scale of 1 - 10 I would say GT is at least like a 4? The plot holes and continuity errors really bugged me and I didn't like the fact that there are antagonists stronger than Kid Majin Buu or the fact some characters like Frieza or Cell were terribly out of character. I was annoyed by the Shadow Dragon's backstory. Especially when I re-watched Dragon Ball.

I liked Jungle De Ikou (saw it on on demand a while back when anime selects still existed), it was a fun anime.... unless you dislike boobs or ecchi or comedy (then you may have a problem with it), But i have no problem with those things (actually those were my favorite things about it) so i enjoyed that series.

the great saiyaman stuff is filler, but it's stuff that toriyama himself wrote for the manga.

Actually DBGT flowed from 1 saga to the next pretty well. the dark star DB saga transitioned into the baby saga because he was planning on revenge and getting the DBs as well. Don't ask me how he knew about the balls though. After his defeat, Dr. Mu was in Hell and created the other 17. 17 killed Kuririn and Goku wanted to bring him back and that wish was the last straw. The DBs cracked and released the Evil Dragons.

The insane power ups were durab. Apparently, a full Earth turns Goku into a Super Saiyan Great Ape and thus to SS4. Yes, it's very conveluted.

There isn't a transition from the cell saga to the buu saga. that's not a bad thing, just a fact.

I watched a couple of clips of Apocalypse Zero last night.

Let's just say that was enough for me to declare it the worst anime I ever saw.

I like I sais again: DBGT did have a good idea, but how it was shown...Not really.

At first, I took the series of how it is. But later as a grown, I begin seeing the holes and the real image of DBGT.
The show does get me mad at times *COUGH* Super Sayian 4 *COUGH*. But, I don't have this anime. I just wish it could have been better.

Yes, that's what bugs me the most about filler. You know everything's just going to return to status quo at the end so, it makes the whole thing pointless.

So, it's canon? Because if the author put it into the manga, it's canon.

Hey! I remeraber that thread. I should reopen that one again.

I actually...did not mind Jungle de Ikou at all. I thought it was really stupid but not really horrible and I'm not even into that much ecchi stuff. However, I can see why people would hate it.

Funny, I thought the beginning episodes were better than the later ones (not good, but better).
In fact, I would say that the first dozen episodes were mediocre, and the rest of it was just plain bad.

The last season of the show is completely unintelligible.
Events that happened before bear little or no consequence to events later on.
For instance, in the beginning there is a Council of Sages running things, and Holland is an ex-soldier leading a band of rebels.
The Coralians systematically attack UF mechas - targeting the leaders first.
Colonel Dewey is a criminal who was released in order to take care of the situation.

In later episodes, Holland is a prince and Dewey is his older brother.
The Coralians are beings just trying to communicate with humans, and don't know how.

So why?

Why does everyone ignore the fact that Holland is a prince, and that Dewey is his brother until episode 40 (or so)?
How can such high profile and important aspects of these two individuals go unsaid for so long?

And why were the Coralians systematically attacking the UF mecha commanders in the beginning?
If they knew nothing about humans and only wanted to communicate, how did they know who the leaders were, and why attack them?
Why?
Because the writers changed the plot of the show halfway through, that's why.

Which is fine, if it comes together and makes sense, but it doesn't!
The show's plot is completely bonkers.
... not to mention that the romance - which is the entire backbone of the show - is corny and bland.

A butterfly!?
Really?
Was this anime written by the writers of 'My Little Pony'?

It is true, some of these matters can be subjective, but the same can be said about anything.
One could argue that Stalin was a great leader, using the subjective defense, but it doesn't make it true.
Likewise, even if Eureka Seven is a popular anime liked by many, it certainly isn't a good one!

Not really.

When I watch PPG, is a good mix of: Manly, girly and down right fun.
PPGZ looks and felt like a durab down version of it. It took out manly things (Personally, the action and jokes). And it stay focus on the girly things.

Hitch-Hikers Guide to the Galaxy is a satire comedy book. The book pretty much covers every aspect of human stupidity. Douglas Adams was so smart that he knew he was an idiot just like everybody else. I don't think he was the kind of guy to be all full of himself.

But then again, I don't know much about him, I've just read his books. He was British, if that means anything to you.

The transformation sequences in the second episode are downright creepy due to the underaged participants. Not kosher.

The first episode was fine. The second...erm, I was a bit creeped out.

(I mentioned the show randomly admittedly. It was an attempt to get dialog besides the nature of opinion.)
