Albums You're Digging II

There's definitely more focus on the vocals in Option Paralysis. I'm personally a big fan of Greg's singing, so naturally I really dug the album on the vocals department.

But yes, Ire Works is a superior album for sure. DEP set the bar really high on that one, in my opinion, so it's not really a surprise or dissapointment that this one didn't exceed it.

I've been in a kinda raw, stripped-down mood:

i must confess psychocandy is the only jesus and mary chain i've heard, and i'm pretty much in love with it. My current job is really stressful, and it's the perfect album to just sit and chill to after a long day. Does their sound change much over their later albums, or do they roughly remain the same?

oh yeh should of added that one too eh?
anyways......

OPGave - Writing the Silver

Sick ass trip hoppy-electronica in the vain of acts like Saltillo and Dirty Elegance. Download this asap if either of those artists made a light go off in your head.

The Replacements "Let It Be"
Radiohead....mainly the collectors discs of "Kid A", "Amnesiac" & "Hail To The Thief"...but that also drove me back to the album, which in essence has drove me back to the other four because I hadn't listened to them since the last wave of Collector release a few months back -_-
The Gaslight Anthem "The 59' Sound"

Hmm, I haven't heard anything under that name, only T. Rex's Electric Warrior and The Slider. How does it compare to those?

This thing, some of you may know it. Last minute decision to throw this on the iPod before leaving home this morning. Put it on straight away while waiting for the bus. On a clear, sunny and cold morning the day after the company Christmas party where I enjoyed many varieties of quality gin and vodka, it works well. Even now as I'm sitting at my desk not feeling like doing much of anything.

Bohren and Der Club of Gore are sensational if you are in that mood. As for the floyd. it's a bootleg. I have an 18 disc set that has virtually every unreleased track the Floyd have ever put out. Still yet to fully delve into it though.

Estradasphere-It's Understood, James Brown-Live at the Apollo, Norah Jones-Come Away With Me, Ed Sharpe's EP, Clapton and Windwood at MSG 09, Tim Buckley-Starsailor, Ben Harper-Welcome To The Cruel World, Tomohawk-Mit Gas, The Mars Volta-Amputechture, Temple of The Dog....

thought i'd be thorough as it's my first post..
