Like any other manufacturer, as long as they don't run low on fluid, or are abused, the can last over 300,000 miles.
Just DON'T change the auto tans fluid after 60,000 miles.
I've got 238,000 miles on my C-2500 and NEVER changed the fliud.

The fuel pump is on a two second timer when you turn the key on.
It'll run for two seconds, then shut off. Unless the engine starts.
Then, the oil pressure sensor tells the computer to allow the pump to run.
Try this:
Disconnect the fuel filter inlet line
Put a rubber...

It could be a vacuum leak causing a misfire in two or more cylinders.
With the engine running open the hood and listen for a sucking noise where a hose may have come unplugged from the engine and is sucking air.
