Wire them in parallel (positives together, negetives together) to bring the overall system impedance to 4ohms. That amp puts out 500wRMS at 4ohms, which is a decent amount of bass. But to get the most out of that amp (900W) you would want to get subs capable of being wired to 2ohms (or 1ohm)...

Did they fry them immediately? Make sure the + and - wires at the amp aren't backwards, that would cause it for sure. Otherwise the only real other cause I can think of would be a fudged amp.
