I'm new to car audio stuff and I can't figure out how the ohms and the pre amp outputs and whatnot work together.
I have $600-$700 to spend and I want to have a car with a good amount of bass. Not like blasting the neighborhood kind of bass but bass I can feel when I drive.
Can I get some suggested configurations for decks, speakers, amps, and subs?

Car is a 2001 Honda Civic EX Coupe

Okay here are my recommendations for your price range.

JL w0 sub in a pre-made ported enclosure
Alpine MRP-M600 subwoofer amp
Alpine CDA-105 CD/MP3/iPOdCeck
Pioneer D-series speakers front and back
Amp wiring kit
Dash Kit Wiring Harness

if you're in the US, that should be less than 700, and will be a VERY nice system. I've installed all of this several times. The pioneer speakers sound amazing and the JL w0 does INCREDIBLY for the price-point.

You're going to have to factor in installation prices above that, but a lot of shops will work out a package deal for you.

Head to your local audio shop and tell em you have $700, ask them to show you what they can do for you.
