Your fave FOREIGN LANGUAGE movie??

There's a beautiful film in Spanish Called 'Innocent Voices' set in 1980s El Salvador, about boys trying to escape being forced to fight in the war. It's heartbreaking.

Did you notice the `Rambo`look alike in the battle scence at the end of the movie? Maybe it`s an `in joke` but if you see it again watch out for it.

Film Four are showing a couple of Rohmer's films this week, The Green Ray on Thursday at 0130 and My Girlfriend's Boyfriend also on Thursday the 4th March, at 11 am.

Rohmer died in January aged 89 and was a truly great auteur of French cinema. Hopefully Film Four will show some more of his work in the near future.

City Of God

Run Lola Run
Ghost In The Shell
Woman In The Dunes

Anything with the late, great Pascale Ogier in it, the most gorgeous woman who has ever walked this earth ;)

Especially:

'Le Pont du Nord' - that moment when she takes her crash helmet off (triple wow!!!)

'Les nuits de la pleine lune' (infinite wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

OK - anything by Eric Rohmer :)
