I`m glad someone mentioned this film. This is the only film that I have cried at (I`ve seen Titanic, E.T ext) A truely remarkable film.

You could consider The Twilight Samurai if you want something with depth rather than action. Works as a personal story and a mirror on its time in Japanese history.
