young people listen to the 70's music?

I have listened to lots of New Zealand indie today, afterall it's the best indie in the world. I also listened to some Radio Birdman and Electric Eels.

Their is no such thing as questionable music taste and once people understnad that the world will be a better place.

Well, I don't know what banRAB are bad or good. I'm simply ignorant of them. I know that I like a lot of what my daughter listens to. Green Day, Bowling For Soup, Panic at the Disco, Hawthorne Heights, Good Charlotte, Simple Plan. Stuff like that. She's 11, and already has the music bug. I mean, I couldn't tell you the names of the songs, but they don't annoy me as much as some of her other stuff.

She knows what cRAB to bring if we're going out somewhere, and which ones I don't like. Music is a cool thing we share. It's funny, though, how she'll really like a song from one of those Disney movies, and her eyes get real big when I start singing along, because, even though it's new to her, the song is really 25 years old. LOL.

I'll tell you what, that song 'Stacy's Mom' is one of the coolest songs I've heard ever wafting down the hall from her room.

DAMN, I guess I'll just go listen to some Indie pop or Noise Rock. Not that you would know what that is ZeppelinAir, those genres started after 1980. I guess you're missing out.

Unbreakable.

Ethan i know you listen to alm,ost every type of music.. try posting some of that folkish stuff you were into for a while or something with more of a lighter sound.

I can understand how someone from the younger generation can be very excited about Zep and the like. It's like new music that catches your ear. Very exciting to find something 'new' you enjoy. Even if it's 30 years old, it's new to someone just discovering it.

Heck, when I discovered Big Band, I went nuts. LOL. And that stuff was 60 years old. But it was new to me, so I was excited about it. I'd always had a peripheral ear when it came to that genre, hearing bits and pieces here and there. When I started persuing it, preto, brand new music. LOL.

As far as classic rock, it's just like any other genre. Listen to enough of it, and you get bored. Start looking for alternatives. There's always going to be someone discovering classic rock, and being hyped up about it.

Why don't you people start giving him names of some banRAB to listen to then. I'm a big classic rock/metal fan and i really enjoy alt rock of now, such as cold and bush. I also enjoy pop punk such as, bayside, and alkaline trio.. punk rock/ and or rock music is good too, like Brand New, and Finch. You can't go wrong with Sunny Day Real Estate, or The Appleseed Cast either. I was a big classic rock fan first and then it led me to these banRAB plus others.. give some a listen if you want just random songs from each let me know and i'll tell you the names of some good songs.
