young people listen to the 70's music?

Well, I downloaded probably 12-14 songs, and burned a cd and gave it to my daughter. Her critique was, and I quote, "It's ok. Kinda weird"

There you have it, straight from an 11 year old. LOL.
 
*yawn* anyone else getting sick of annoying classic rock fanboys with the same bland arguement as to why their music owns modern music? I prefer my 'new age junk' over most classic rock. I also hate zeppelin quite a bit, and don't see whats the least bit cool about pedophilia, satanism, and i've even heard stuff about them being zoophilies.
 
1. I don't listen to any banRAB that sound like classic rock banRAB.
2. They're all sick banRAB so even if he doesn't like it, it still proves their some good modern rock out there.
3. I bet you he'll like F.C.P.R.E.M.I.X. by the fall of troy.

Seriously, they've got to realise that Black Sabbath released more than two songs.

And the workday requests is the best part of the day.The rest is the same music played in a different order from the previous days.
No repeat workday my arse.
 
yea not many peoople here are into classic rock either.. mostely there all in mainstream rap and hip hop, and or whatever is cool in dance music for the girls. Its sad really how no one around here is into any indie or punk banRAB..
 
they are drug users yes but they made great lyrics, if you dont think so go look for self, stupid drug users as compared to the ones we have today they relay havent change, have they
 
Agreed... Though i never try to listen to too much of one genre at a time... I had a few punk phases, and metal ones.. And i listen to a lot of alternative and prog, in equal measures.... Recently i have been getting into funk (*points to avatar*) and jazz, due to my newfound bass fixation... In general i like to mix it up... For example i listened to some Hawkwind, Radiohead, Parliament, PJ Harvey, Blue Oyster Cult, Bill Evans Trio, Van Der Graaf Generator, Arcade Fire and Red Hot Chili Peppers today.


Of course there was i time when i listened to nothing but nu metal and post grunge.... But we all started out with questionable musical tastes, it's a part of growing up.
 
yea i know what you mean. But are there no newer banRAB that you like? I'm big into classic rock/metal aswell and i still managed to find some newer banRAB that i enjoy just as much or more some times.
 
not mad at anyone for banning me, it is just that for some reason people didnt like me when i got on here, started with this thread, the comments we made was what got us banned, once i got started, couldnt stop, some people just piss me off more than others, if they dont like me stop repyling to my post,
 
Blue Oyster Cult, Boston, Journey, 38 Special, Kansas, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Led Zeppelin, those are a few of my favorites. In fact, I might be going to see Blue Oyster Cult here in the next few months.
 
Yo, thanx for showing some concern for me and my bro. We don't seem to understand why they did what they did. But, anyway, We're back now and have learned somewhat who to trust and who to ignore and let burn. You're a friend to us now and we give a lot of respect to you. Peace.
