Would you pay $10 to get your phone from Verizon to Cricket EASY?

I get the same busy signal on my 9800 in my area using the right nuraber. I already have my cable on the way but really wish this method would work instead.

When you say "Don't despair if it doesn't work the first time," do I need to call Cricket back, or just wait and keep trying to activate? I get the cricket music, but after calling to switch the ESN I still get the same message that they are unable to program my mobile phone.

lots of people are more than willing to pay to flash their phone over. it doesn't make any sense to me because the features don't work, and i always recomend them to purchase a phone from us, but i still have a lot of customers that want to do this.

No, they are not free but I did buy mine for $.01 (USD).

And no, I don't think that everything has been discovered and I am sorry if I have offended you or your method. I simply meant to describe or explain any cautious response you might have gotten from the community. My appologies.

its called revenue it creates more jobs for people in a different field, if they dont want to take the time to search a little then they can pay a little, just get over the fact that the wireless companies are not ordered to give you your spc. Most people are glade to pay up to 45 dollars to change services. They would rather do that then have to buy a whole new phone thats a peace of **** and cost three times the amount.

Trust me i do get the point ive been doing unlocking, reprogramming, debranding, flashing for a little over 5 yrs.

Wow a penny?! Cool!

No apology necessary. I am an indirect dealer for Cricket and we discovered a way to activate VZ phones without reprogramming. I thought I'd share. Since we charge locally for this I didn't figure it'd be that bad to do the same on HF.

2 people have been given my method. Hopefully they'll post their experience.

Pretty awesome you got a data cable for a penny. Cheap shipping too?

Lol @ "just get over the fact that the wireless companies are not ordered to give you your spc".. THat has not yet been determined.

As for your comments about people being glad to pay for reprogramming... yeah right. Would you really pay $45 to reprogram your sprint phone to verizon, knowing that it's likely that not all the features will work? Bear in mind, 90% of verizons phones cost less than $50 with a new activation, and if you're switching providers, it's a safe bet your phone is over 2 years old, since you signed a contract with sprint to get it.

The ONLY instance that it makes sense for someone to pay the $50 is in the circumstance of flashing a high end phone to cricket, or the unlikely scenario that you're cancelling your contract early and moving your high end phone to another provider. Otherwise, there is no benefit to doing this. You don't get a discount for bringing your own phone to verizon, so why would anyone pay to do it.

It's worth doing for free, to avoid signing a contract with your new provider. It's worth doing if your new provider has crappy phones (like cricket)... other than that... not worth it.

In closing, don't jump on me like I'm wrong and you're right. The truth is, we don't know, and it'll probably never be tested, based on the points I made above, and the cost of suing the cell companies. Ultimately, you're talking out of your *** just as much as I am.

I am trying to convert a Cricket Kyocera Remix KX5 to MetroPCS in the SFBay Area. How do I go about this? How do I change the PRL and get all that up so it'll work.

Thanks.

I still don't know what I need to do to put a Verizon phone onto Cricket. My girlfriend has Cricket but hates their phones. I don't know what all these damn abbreviations are so I'm still kinda clueless.

I just would like some clarification on what all the abbreviations mean and what they do, since I catch on well and am pretty smart with phone stuff. I could also use some simpler, more directive instructions. I don't know all this stuff since I don't have Cricket, but I am somewhat interested in helping my girlfriend get a good phone onto her Cricket account.

Thanks for any help.

22804 works in WA and OR and also AZ. According to the cricket techs its 'supposed' to be the same nationwide.

I am looking into this further. I was led to believe this was solid info. My apologies. Don't give up yet tho ok.

ROFLMAO. so you're stating that because there is no need they shouldn't do it? Since when does need dictate what a company offers/restricts/limits etc on their products? The company can do what they see fit. It's their company.

They do have proprietary information on their phones. They all do. You see the company logo when the phone powers on? There you go. It has been loaded with carrier specific software at the company's request. Do you see Verizon branded phones sold in cricket or Sprint stores? Alltell in Verizon Stores?

Just because some tool on a message board thinks that his phone should be totally open and free for his use doesnt make it so. You want that, you buy an unbranded phone straight from the manufacturer. You buy a phone with a carrier logo on it, youre subject to their rules, whether you think it's imperative or not. You want unbranded unlocked phones, you'll need to switch to gsm. No cdma carrier offers that option.

Of course maybe if you called around and asked them to because you see no imperative need for their limits, maybe they'll just change everything.

Ending up in court on this and the judge will likely tell you the same. You don't like the limits, don't buy the product.

It's really because there is no shortage of stupid in the world.

People pay $50 to flash a phone that will be of limited use and pay 1st month and act to use it cause it's "cooler" than the phones cricket offers.

Makes my head hurt
