Lol @ "just get over the fact that the wireless companies are not ordered to give you your spc".. THat has not yet been determined.
As for your comments about people being glad to pay for reprogramming... yeah right. Would you really pay $45 to reprogram your sprint phone to verizon, knowing that it's likely that not all the features will work? Bear in mind, 90% of verizons phones cost less than $50 with a new activation, and if you're switching providers, it's a safe bet your phone is over 2 years old, since you signed a contract with sprint to get it.
The ONLY instance that it makes sense for someone to pay the $50 is in the circumstance of flashing a high end phone to cricket, or the unlikely scenario that you're cancelling your contract early and moving your high end phone to another provider. Otherwise, there is no benefit to doing this. You don't get a discount for bringing your own phone to verizon, so why would anyone pay to do it.
It's worth doing for free, to avoid signing a contract with your new provider. It's worth doing if your new provider has crappy phones (like cricket)... other than that... not worth it.
In closing, don't jump on me like I'm wrong and you're right. The truth is, we don't know, and it'll probably never be tested, based on the points I made above, and the cost of suing the cell companies. Ultimately, you're talking out of your *** just as much as I am.
