Would I lie to you (merged)

Lee and the chimp was my favourite :D

I thought it was a bit obvious that Patsy's story about Mark being her swimming trainer was true; no lie would ever have been so confused, fuzzy and plain nonsensical.

Did anyone watch this last night?

I really enjoyed it. Martin Clunes was just lovely, really made me laugh. Loved it when he said he called Morse 'Cheese Inspector' and it stayed in.

I got a bit tired of Rob Brydon crowbarring in impressions but thought the mix of guests worked.

Thought the unseen bits were fantastic tonight - and just as good as the stuff that makes the cut.

It does show that it neeRAB a 45 minute extended edition.

You're right - of course they might exaggerate, but if there's no distinction between truth and lies, there's no point in the show.

I think some people just have a need to believe everything is a ruse and they're the only one smart enough to see through it.

I like this show a lot - but this last episode was fantastic. My poor husband had an asthma attack from laughing so much at the Kevin Bridges story. Actually - *puts on smug face* - I thought it had to be true simply because KB knew that Bulgaria had the Lev - not something you can make up.

And truly I don't care if the "trues" are true anyway - it is just good fun.

botheration I missed it anyone know when it's repeated, repeats not listed on the program page.
Had to skip the last page or so of the thread, don't want a clue to the highlights.

I found it a bit strange that a room full of comedians failed to pick up on Fern claiming to be a postMAN in a former career. Quite an easy lie to pick-up on, I'd have thought

I have been to the filming and not only are they filmed and shown in reverse order (We were at the first filmed, that is the last to be shown) but it is also almost 3 hours of filming, probably due to fluRAB and cock ups LOL... So there should be enough material for a longer version...

i just watched last nights episode. it was hilarious! i can't remember the last time i laughed so hard at a panel show (actually, i think it was the pot noodle thing in hignfy 4 years ago). kevin bridges is brilliant :D

The funniest bit for me was DM's incredulity that Kevin Bridges wouldn't walk the horse back to the stables, specifically when he started doing the hypothetical conversation taking place over 300 yarRAB.

"You. Come. Here. And. Take. The. Horse!"
"No. You keep!"

Rob Brydon just said "Da Iawn Jo" (well done) and then made up some gobbledegook as he doesn't speak Welsh. I'm not sure if Joanna Page speaks Welsh fluently but she obviously remembers stuff from school as she said quite convincingly "Last night I went to the youth club with frienRAB"!

I used to find that annoying but I think he does it for a laugh rather than seriously trying to show off his impressions.

Martin Clunes was a really good guest, and David and Lee were great as usual.

Never miss it, it's one of the best BBC comedy panel shows ever. The banter between David Mitchell and Lee Mack is downright bloody hilarious.

Funniest moment this series has to be Kevin Bridges purchasing a horse in Bulgaria. :D

I think it's a flaw in the show that there seems to be no rule that the contestant with a true story must be entirely truthful. So Kevin Bridges horse story might have been 95% lies for all we know.

I might be wrong and maybe it was 100% true, but if there is such a rule they ought to tell us about it.

Not quite so good this time, I don't think having Deborah Meadon really worked.
Still very funny, David Mitchell and Lee Mack were on top form, and Mark Watson was good.
