Worst Film Ever - Cast your worst film into a pit of flames here

I don't think Titanic is necessarily the "worst film ever." I think it's the most overrated film ever (no way did it deserve the gargantuan critical and commercial praise and Oscars thrown at it when it was released).

At the end of the day it's a soppy love story/disaster flick. Which had some clever moments and some cringeworthy ones. It went on too long (indeed, I feel Titanic has in part contributed to the current trend of directors and producers releasing films that are unnecessarily long by around 30mins-1 hr) and it IS bad in parts, but I think the overall product comes across as a decidedly average film. The reason it is hated so is because it is, quite simply, overrated. It's not as good as people made out, but it's not the worst movie ever made, in my opinion.

That would probably have to go to Batman and Robin. What. Were. They. Thinking?

Bewitched with Will ferrell/Nicole Kidman - Geez, why i sat there to the end, i will never know ... Waste of my electric !!

White Chicks - Oh my god, what a piece of cr.........., yep had to turn it off after 10 minutes.

I don't like The Shining, but accept it as a very well made piece of work.
St Elmo's Fire is utter garbage. Nauseating smug characters going about their stupid lives in an utterly predictable fashion. And Emilio Estevez acting like a complete stalker over Andie McDowel, and we're supposed to cheer him on for forcing her to kiss him at the end! Just awful...

Yes dammit you're right. Unless you are making an epic which necessarily should be longer than the average film (ie Spartacus, The Godfather Part II, Lord of the Rings etc) then a film shouldn't be longer than 100 minutes at the most. I think ideally a film should be 90 minutes long. After that I tend to get a bit fidgety. Don't even get me started on Magnolia. 90 minutes in and you still have a whole other movie to watch! Its perplexing the way that even fairly lightweight films that should be short and snappy and an enjoyable hour and a half at max are often elongated to be 2 hours plus. It makes no sense.

Heat and The Insider - both awful, didn't manage to get to the end on either of them. Just looked up Michael Mann on Imdb, he hasn't done anything else I like either!
I'd also like to add Mememto, The Matrix and Pulp Fiction to that list, I had real problems finding a plot in any of them.

Double Team - Jean Claude Van Damme  Dennis Rodman  seriously excessive product placement. hate it hate it hate it, but for some reason I've seen it twice!!

I went to see American Dreamz last week which has to be the most boring and unfunniest film ever made. I was praying for it to come to an end - this to me rated even worse than Blairwitch and that's saying something.

I can add 'White Noise' to my list, saw it last nite - gobsmackingly bad.

And to 'yorkieUK' Lost in Translation is the worst film youve ever seen? How many films have you watched - 2???
