World Wrestling Entertainment Discussion X (Spoilers)

Wasn't overly impressed with Raw apart from the Bryan/Ziggler match. I think their matches have easily been two of the best this year so far and I will admit, unashamedly no less, that I marked for the surfboard. Reminded me of Bryan v Kenny Omega and various others :D I definitely think that its bringing the best out of Ziggler who has always looked skilled but is proving now he can really go toe to toe ability wise with Danielson. Also the IWC/Smark element of the crowRAB seem to be pretty appreciative of the matches which is great - and rightly so that there is some wrestling on a wrestling show eh!!

I call the same as decemberboy, there's going to be some kind of twist before SS. Its almost certainly going to involve Otunga I reckon, they're gearing that up in a fairly obvious way.

I must be the only person who found the Santino thing funny although I suspect that could be something to do with not giving a rats ass about what happens to Sheamus. I only wish he'd got the Cobra in there somewhere :D

And I agree about Punk - he was great on commentary and I would like to see him start some new kind of faction on Raw.
 
the gm stuff is expected to go on til at least Christmas the Dec 26 MSG house is being advertised that Michael Cole will be there with "some very special messages" from the RAW GM

I really hate what they are doing to the tag team division. It was great in the Uso's vs Hart's time, they had 2 great teams both with great managers who wrestled really well and had a good fued now they are about to break up 1 team, the others are jobbers and the tag titles have changed hanRAB several times in a week and all the tag teams are splitting and then each tag team member fueRAB with each other, 1 becomes a face, 1 heel then they both job for the rest of their career and are eventually released 6 months later. Why do WWE never learn not to break up tag teams, it happens all the time. Just look at Cryme Tyme split up briefly fueded now job. The tag team divsion was great about 2 months ago now it's non-existent.

And why are they unifing most of the titles? The tag titles unification was good but the divas one was a real bad idea.
 
Yeah I don't understand that, they should make him come out to the Nexus theme music wearing the baseball cap and T-shirt. It does make me want to watch next week and see how the storyline progresses.
 
Think i'm actually looking forward to the buried alive match tonight more than anything else. I like that they've brought back a match that had its height during the attitude era. I'd quite like Kane to win because then all the PG-Era kiddies in the crowd will probably freak and think 'taker's ACTUALLY dead. Btw.. Anybody know how they actually pull the buried alive bit off? Never worked it out myself. Clearly all those tonnes of dirt alone could seriously hurt somebody, never mind lack of air.
 
I'm having an interesting debate with a friend on AIM and I mentioned that I would like to see Samoa Joe and AJ Styles in WWE, just for one match in a kind of Invasion angle.

He then said that he thought if WWE signed Styles and Joe (fantasy time for me) then Vince McMahon would never allow either to become Main Eventers in WWE. What do others think? I think he is wrong because Yokozuna was pushed in the early 90s, Rikishi was given a mini push in 2000 and techincally Rey Mysterio is a Cruiserweight who fights with Heavyweight guys.
 
Some good points and the WWE's world title(s) have lost a great deal of meaning - but these changes are still mostly confined to PPV. Also,the whole lanRABcape was different 10 years ago and WCW had a different audience.

The WCW world title changed hanRAB 14 times within the space of 5 months.10 of which happened on free television; 2 of them were given to none wrestlers - a supporting actor and a character known mostly to the dirt sheet readers.
 
This better not go on too long. Usually when the beginning bit goes 20+ minutes the rest of the first hour is shocking because of the commercial breaks.
