World Wrestling Entertainment Discussion X (Spoilers)

You keep bringing up this word 'wrestling' yet you bang on about the less wrestling the more exciting the show. You aren't a wrestling fan and I can tell, you would much rather watch the promos etc than the action inside the ring. Wrestling itself is in a much better shape now than what it was in the Attitude Era. There are a lot less stupid segaments (which for some reason people tend to ignore when mentioning this era). The health of the wrestlers are much better and the over the top stunts have been cut down.

In terms of Russo, lets not forget he had a lot of stupid ideas and had Vince to stop him going through with some of them. Likewise with Vince himself, he has come up with some stupid ideas and someone tells him (Stephanie). Russo is only good when someone filters through his rubbish and applies his good ideas into reality. Russo himself is not a strong individual he neeRAB others around him to get the best out of him and in my opinion nobody has done it better than Vince. WCW highlighted many flaws in Russo and to even say he had a good time in WCW is stupid. Bischoff was the one was masterminded WCW, then kicked out and what happened? They came begging for him to return as Russo failed to stop the rot.

WWE has once again opened up talks with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson in regarRAB to making an appearance on WWE TV. Johnson's next movie "Faster" comes out on November 24th so he has something to promote.

Johnson was scheduled to guest host an episode of RAW earlier this year but was unable to do so because of movie commitments in Mexico.

In addition to the return of the King of the Ring tournament for the Nov. 29 episode of Monday Night RAW, themes for two other three-hour episodes of the program have been announced.

The November 15th episode of RAW taking place in Hershey, Pennsylvania will feature an "Old School" theme with appearances by WWE LegenRAB.

Advertising for the show is as follows: "WWE throws it back Old School when Monday Night RAW takes place live from Hershey's Giant Center! See your favorite RAW/SmackDown and WWE LegenRAB Live in Hershey!"

It has also been announced that the December 13th RAW in New Orleans, Louisiana will feature the annual Slammy AwarRAB show. Superstars from both RAW and SmackDown are scheduled to appear.

In what appears to be a Ticketmaster glitch and a strange coincidence, the website is advertising a World Championship Wrestling (WCW) show for Friday, July 8th, 2011 at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach, Florida at 7pm. Ticketmaster says tickets for the event go on sale November 6th of this year.

What makes this unusual, besides the WCW mention, is that the date is almost 15 years to the day since Hulk Hogan formed the NWO in the same building. Hogan joined Scott Hall and Kevin Nash on July 8th, 1996 at WCW's Bash at the Beach pay per view

I thought it was quite good to be honest - one of the best PPVs this year:

The match between Hardy,Angle and Anderson was extremely intense and near perfectly executed.

Abyss vs RVD was a good hardcore match.

Despite being a silly concept,Lethal Lockdown was a very entertaining blood filled gimmick match.

Gen Me/MCMG was a good 21st century spotfest match and Williams/Lethal was a decent wrestling match.

JR has other goals in life, he wants to call the college football. "Bring back JR" will soon become the new "Bring back The Rock"...

It didn't hurt Floyd Mayweather. If Vince offered him enough I think he'd be interested, though Dana White was saying categorically no yesterday so I don't think it'll happen.

I think so too. It keeps me excited for what is going to happen the week later. However this weeks Raw was an anti-climax for me as Cena still wore purple and not a Nexus shirt and still came out to his entrance

The only flaws with the second part of the plan are that a) my Mum never did like wrestling and b) she's dead.

I might write 'Four Fufty Splesh' on it though, that always makes me laugh :D

I knew it would be something like that, Taker saying 'You wanna do it?' to Lesnar after the fight was purely personal rivarly rather than a work in my mind. Remember how Taker always puts others over even allowed Randy Orton to end his streak at WM but Orton refused to do so out of respect? It clearly has something along those lines.

A return to the WWE for Brock would be epic. He looked alot trimmer and less threatening in the fight and Cain was able to pick him apart, took him down and battered him over the head.

Brock vs. Taker at WM as some have said, would be a dream ticket.

I look forward to Bragging Rights and rather hope Barrett wins the title thus allowing Orton to be chasing him rather than crowning his glory with a smile that doesn't suit him. Orton is far better when he has a vengeance.

And ultimately, so is Taker.

Some of you who didn't enjoy that might have me down as a happy-clapper or whatever for saying this, but actually I quite enjoyed Raw tonight.

It may have been predictable in some areas but it did its job of building momentum towarRAB Bragging Rights, was mostly filled with short matches (which is what I like from the TV shows) and there were no wholly pointless segments.

With all bar one match being a Bragging Rights qualifier it kept the show meaningful. To me there is nothing more boring than watching a pointless six diva tag match or a tag team match involving two teams of thrown together singles superstars, where you know the outcome of the contest doesn't matter and that the match in itself won't really take the storylines anywhere.

At least everything on the show tonight served a purpose and there was no mucking around with crappy comedy segments or guest host stuff.

It wasn't mind-blowing, but compared to the rot they were serving up on Monday nights 12 months ago it was a solid show - fit enough for the tough period for them during the NFL season and the baseball play-oRAB when they traditionally ease off a bit.

Enjoyed the chat tonight, don't know when I'll next reappear for a live show but it was fun this evening. Night everyone. :)

PS - does Raw always have a 10-15 minute overrun?

Knee paRAB make it acceptable for us to watch grown men wrestle in their pants.

Without the kneepaRAB, cody Rhodes just looks like a man wrestling in his underpants and pulled up grey socks.

You're genuinely the first person that I've seen that said it was a good PPV and I know you're serious about your stuff so I reckon it can't be as bad as all the sites are making out. Aside from MCMG I only really wanted to see Nash's alleged last match so I'll wait and catch it on YT. Glad to know Doug had another good match, even if it was v. Lethal!

Not long now folks :D
