who else here thinks that the Wii is the most overpriced console of the three?

Sure it costs $250 but it is so fucking weak. It only has a 900mhz processor and 64 mb ram and uses the same architecture as gamecube. 360 is only 50 more and it has 512MB ram, a much more powerful GPU, and a 3 core 3.2 ghz processor. I know gameplay is more important than graphics but wii is fucking pathetic. And not to mention how much old games cost and how an extra controler and nunchuck will cost $60 and how Nintendo's forcing you to pay $20 for a classic controller just to play old games even though a gamecube controller has buttons and an arrow pad.

you know for SURE your a fanboy when you actually rather the company make money of you and over charge you, rather then getting superior hardware for less.

You trolls are so full of yourselves. Some people may find the Wii to be too expensive because it's not exactly what they want in a system. That's just fine. But to other's it's exactly what they want, and they're willing to pay for it.

360/PS3 = Hardcore gamers

Wii/Gamecube = Casual gamers and new gamers

There's no reason to fight about which is better. It's painfully apparent that certain consoles are built to satisfy specific market segments. And the last time I checked, the Wii is certainly NOT trying to be a PS3 or xBox 360, and that's fine because it kicks ass the way it is.

yes maybe overpriced but for the Tech side of the house.

But fair market value.... I will spend the $250

PS3, no thanks my 360 covers my graphics needs.

its jsut so fun to troll the Wii threads.

Its honestly like joking with a guy, "you got a small dick" and see their reaction. The ones with a small dick get super defensive and try to talk about there 14" pen0r and how they fuck 6 girls a night.

Sure it does. If $600 is what you're willing to spend on a console that caters to your needs then by all means, go ahead. Hell, if I had money to burn and a HDTV I'd probably get a PS3 too.

Nintendo makes a sizeable profit on each Wii sold, while MS and Sony both lose money on each of their units sold.

There was a nice price breakdown of what it costs to manufacture each system. Sony is losing $250-300 on each PS3, while MS is losing like $40. Meanwhile, Wii costs about $140 to make, INCLUDING the controllers, and are netting over $100 pure profit on each system.

Wii is underpowered crap. I am really annoyed Nintendo is charging so damn much for last gen tech. The real price should be $150.

But, in the end, Wii will not have the success 360 or PS3 get. It is just too underpowered. Once the newness of the controls passes, it will go on to have Gamecube-ish success, which means, not much.
