who else here thinks that the Wii is the most overpriced console of the three?

I kind of think it is, but I bet nintendo did a ton of market studies and found that they could make more profit by selling a certain amount at $250 compared to pricing it at $200 and only getting a few more sales in comparison.

So what exactly are you trying to say. You want a company to spend years developing something but you don't want to pay what everyone else considers that its worth?

Anyone who is saying Nintendo shouldn't sell the Wii for as high of price as they can has an incredible lack of common sense.

If someone/some company provides you with entertainment for the next 5? years, don't they deserve your money? I'm sure if the PS3 was showing any amount of innovation, creativity or hell, any decent games, more people could justify the cost.

360 plus Wii is the best combo for technical/graphical plus innovation. The wii is so much fun to play, but for those few days when you just need something nice to really look at the 360 does an amazing job with that. My two favorite games for the 360 is Gears of War and Viva Pinata. Everything else that comes out on the next gen consoles I can play on the PC (and I can have better gameplay and graphics while doing so).

Just you guys watch the Wii graphics will turn out to be extremely well done, but they will never reach the HD graphics of the PS3 or 360...however they will surpass Xbox in graphics this I can guarantee, give them a year and you will see some really beautiful games come out for the Wii.

my point is, Wii wont stay current for the next 5 years. The reason the wii games right now are decent it because they use the same language and architecture as game cube but after a year or two once developers get used to 360 and PS3 the games are going to get alot better while wii will stay more or less the same since its specs limit it from improving too much so I think the Wii will max out after a year or two and go downhill from there.
