who else here thinks that the Wii is the most overpriced console of the three?

I was under the assumption that the wireless remote could be turned on it's side and be utilized like a normal controller for games requiring that sort of thing. Please correct me if I am wrong.
 
Im not saying Wii as it is should cost less, Im saying wii at its price should be more capable. like I said before, gameplay>graphics but you have a problem when a console has less than a third of the processing power as a competitor that cost $50 more. At first I was excited about the wii, thinking that the controler would be great for shooters but now I know that its far to weak to handle a shooter on a PC scale, such as crysis or bioshock. Instead it will just have shooters comparable to last gen. This is less next gen and more last gen 2.0.
 
nintendo = smart...they make money when they sell a system
Sony and Microsoft....not so much, they're ok with losing money selling a system. Nintendo will be around next generation and generations to come because of this, sony wont, and microsoft has more money than god so they're good to go as well
 
So you are saying that because it doesn't cost more to produce, they should lower the price? So they could be like Microsoft and Sony and LOSE money on every system Price doesn't have to represent its production cost...

The controllers and everything else that goes with ALL of the systems are expensive, that's how they get you and will continue to get you.
 
Have you even played it yet? No one is complaining about the graphics "ruining the games." You're making the arguement everyone has been making since the first Wii specs were released. It's obviously not affecting many people. PS3 is proof that graphics aren't everything.
 
LOL ok, yeah sooo overpriced yet I have been playing/watching people play alllll dayy, since 11 am...I am sure everyone here could tell you it so overpriced. right. sorry, but why spend $600 on something that is not nearly as entertaining, with shitty games, but "pretty" graphics?
 
Or you realize it's a buisness and the entire point is to make money. I love my 360, but how much money did microsoft make off of the xbox?

I didn't say I was happy about the price... but they wouldn't sell a noticable amount more systems to drop the price $50. Even if they did see a decent increase, it would take a huge increase to make up for the price drop.

I haven't even opened my Wii yet because I'm still not sold on the controller. I must be one shitty ass fanboy.
 
exactly. play it, then say it is overpriced. again, not one of the ten or so people here most of the day has said a bad word about it. In fact, our neighbors came over and played wii sports, and decided right there that they were gonna get a wii, from a friend who was selling it. they will be back soon with their wii. also, I am girl, who hates video games, sony included. sorry but ps2 bored me to tears, why would I want another system to do that? this one is totally different.
