what is everyones favourite horror film ?

In no particular order...
Dawn of the Dead (original version, although I do like the remake also)
The Wicker Man (I'm dreading the remake of this one, it WILL be pants!)
Nightmare on Elm St (FIRST one only!)
The Thing
The Ring (original version, because it introduced me to so many other great Jap/Asia horror)
 
Can't get Salem's Lot on DVD either (hard to find even on Region 1, released AGES ago and never re-released).
It's surprising what you can't get on DVD!
 
i have to say the first two of the scary movie trilogy were good but the third was just poor!!!
I thought what lies beneath was a good film but a bit predictable.
my favorite sacry movie is.................

Texas chainsaw masacre!! I've seen some of the original but i was too wimpy to watch it!!!
not the most phsycological movie but it makes you jump and grosses you out!!! :rolleyes:

Strangely though, I love reading horror, especially Clive Barker and Stephen King, but generally don't do too well with the films!
 
I think the old ones are the best really...

Halloween is my absolute favourite, never fails to scare the pants off me.

The Omen, also has that effect on me.

The Shining, really creeps me out.

Also, I'm not sure if these are counted as horror, but I love the Thomas Harris trilogy (Red Dragon, Silence of the Lambs, Hannibal)

The most recent film that really scared me was The Grudge.


My fiance's trying to get me to watch 'Salem's Lot, but the way he describes it, I'm a bit scared to watch it!!
