I don't think this is what AV had in mind when he built this guy up as his poster child against big government.
 
All I'm trying to say is quit fence-sitting, and pick a side. People need to do something about the direction our country is headed. Irrational people are going to act out in increasing numbers, and if you stick your head in the sand and pretend it isn't real, you're just going to end up "caught in the crossfire" as I've said.

It's amazing how frightened of this prospect the liberals among us are. They're so jumpy, so nervous about anything and everything.

As a "group" or "organization" you're right, but the St. Louis incident wasn't just a random pointless act of violence. It was pointed specifically at an institution that is part of the greater problem in our economy. This individual was rebelling, rather than taking up the poopshaft as he had been for years. He tried peaceful methods (class-action suit) and when that looked to be going south, sought less peaceful methods.

His point was to make it newsworthy what had been getting swept under the rug, and he posthumously got what he wanted.

Some of us have already picked a side. We just aren't foolish to go off half cocked (so to speak). Once critical mass has been reached, then things will happen more and more.

As for liberals being scared shitless. They are right to be concerned. Their scare tactics aren't working, and they KNOW they are "out gunned" and that the type of people who currently protect them and have the "real guns", are the type of people who will NOT side with them. They love to go around saying "What are your little guns going to do against a tank?", but even the most ignorant liberal realizes that there are men and women in those tanks, helicopters, planes, and armories, and more often than not, they think like non-liberals.
 
This thread has been a great way for me to learn who, and who not, to take seriously in diacf.
 
Assuming that said violent uprising were small and isolated, yes.

If it took on the path and scope of most historical civil wars, then you can pretty well bet on the military and police being fractured and dysfunctional to some degree.

If you were to hypothesize that the split were to occur according to current political spectrum, then you could pretty well bet on a very large portion of the military and (to a lesser degree) police siding with the anti-government side of things.

Realistically, we're talking about something that'd be pretty goddamn complicated and ugly.
 
It has gone international now. A man in Canada assaulted a former presidential candidate. He was really sticking it to the man in power and was fighting back against the airlines who make seating too crowded. Can our nation really hold it together with all these independent assaults on our corporations and our overlords? Only time will tell.

2010/02/18: Austin, TX: after years of feeling wronged by various forces outside his control, and after being audited by the IRS, a man burns down his home, takes his small airplane, and crashes it into the Austin, TX IRS building.

The IRS is a Federal Government agency, so the building that was attacked was a legitimate military target. That doesn't make what that guy did right or acceptable, but it shows this isn't just some random act of nutcase violence. He didn't shoot up an ice cream parlor. He went after specific "enemies" that he felt had been going after him.

Not surprising your pea brain missed my point completely. Milankovitch cycles descibe how our climate is determined by the Earth's axis wobble, which in 2000 was discovered to be caused by fluctuating pressure on the bottom of the ocean, which is caused by temperature and salinity changes and wind-driven changes in the circulation of the oceans. Not the Earth's orbit around the sun.
 
So... What you are saying is we should expect 14 more threads about how the revolution is ongoing.
