Welcome to 2010. Welcome to the rebellion.

Surely, small airplanes should be banned. At least mental evals, biometric locks, limits of 1 flight per month, should be passed.

Maybe NY can have a "turn your plane in for cash" drive?

i am not "tea party" or whatever that means, but I must disagree with you, as will many others imo

the ruling class in the US and many nations continues to be an 'old boys club' where these individuals often share the same schools, upbringing, and in comical cases like Obama, Bush, and Cheney - even being distant relatives. Pharaohs they may be not but I think its pretty naive to liken them to your friendly neighbor across the street. This is before we even TOUCH the issue of MONEY, funding, and the huge non elected power base that continues to hold considerably sway over the day to day running of the country.

Hopefully our own military leaders will eventually realize what (who) the biggest threat to national security is... and DO something about it.

No, try reading a little slower next time. What it means is that a stable cyclical pattern is only cyclical because it's stable. Add something to tip the balance (i.e. human pollution) and it ceases to be a stable pattern.

AVengeance, you're being disingenuous here. You tell telemarketers to pound sand. Pointing a shotgun at a person is a bit of an escalation from that. A cop asking someone about a person brandishing a weapon on their property doesn't in any way equate to harassment, so no defense need be taken up against said cop.

I love how idiots like Simius seem to forget this history of this country and how the American Revolution took place. I'd hate to burst their bubble, but the majority of the military experience that the founding fathers and their armies got was from being in the service of the King of England's Army. Once they saw just how tyrannical that government was, they took their arms and expertise and mustered up the local militia and citizen who were just waiting for "critical mass", and kicked the living shit out of England.

Not being a pilot, I welcome increased regulation for the operation of flying vehicles.

I believed that when my grade school teacher said it.
I believe it is still true for city and county positions. You don't get to be President, though, by wanting it bad enough. It takes millions of dollars, licking lots of boots, and basically being a sell-out. Same with Congress. If the FedGov had less power, what you say would be closer to truth. Unfortunately, the size of government raises the stakes to a point where you don't rise from "regular joe" to be Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, or Barack Obama.

Those people are not like me, and they're not like you. They are part of a different caste. They just don't have special paint on their foreheads.

Free men will stop said assholes by throwing them in prison, where people who attempt or commit murder go. Meet society, fruit-loop. And no, society will not likely just role over and die so that murder turns into rebellion. It's just murder. Society knows how to deal with that.

If I suddenly quit posting, it's more likely because I hit a nerve somehwere, getting a little too close to the mark (like with my IRS audit revenge prediction on 1/13 that came true today).

Nah, it's not terrorism, it's an act of war. So now we need to go to war with Texas (or maybe Cali, since that's where he was from). Let me know how that works out.
