use built in Chat application with Data! mobjab.com

I don't know what to tell you. Create a new AIM account, add 2-3 people to it, create a new Mobjab account, delete all old IM settings from the E90 and start fresh. If it works, backtrack from there until you find the source of your problem (buddy list too big? not big enough? too green?).

some networks don't want its customers sending really cheap instant messages instead of using texts so they have nokia remove the feature from there branded handsets.

dunno why nokia changed this, you can select wi-fi on a n91
the way round it is to copy a packet data access point, rename it to say IM connection, then go to the Im settings and select that access point. go back to your phones connection settings and change the IM connection from packet data to wi-fi. your Im cliant should now connect via wi-fi!!!

I think I'm having the same problem as DRNewcomb earlier.

No matter what text I enter as the Contact List Name, I get the error message "List creation failed". Is this because the IM software can't find an existing list on my phone (or the server?) and isn't intelligent enough to create a new one?

If there's a way of creating the contact list on the .mobi server and then shifting it to the .net server, I'd really appreciate some instructions.
At the moment, each time I log in to the java web client on my pc, I have to re-approve all my contacts so I'm guessing they are not being saved on the server.

Is it worth downloading Mobjab Messenger to my phone to try to create the contact list?

TIA

Update: I logged into my mobjab account from bombus on my phone, even that is asking for authorization of my each and every contact every time I log into that.
So to sum up the question "Why do I have to authorize my contacts every time I log into mobjab?"

Hi

Details how to resolve it has been emailed to you. Regarding the web client asking for authorisation every time you login. Ignore it. It has to be done only once.

Thanks so much for that info on Email. Things are working better now except for the presence issue. Is there any way possible in the world to set the contact subscription to "BOTH". It is always set as "FROM" thus my contacts see me online and I can't see them. Not fair on me. :(
And I also feel a little slowness in receiving the messages. Can that be improved by any setting?

Hi guys,

I am developing an mobile IM application, that i hope runs on top of IMPS 1.3 WBXML spec. So i would like to know if it is possible to testing my insipient application using mobjab servers, if so does it fully compliant with IMPS spec in relation to the WBXML part?

Best Regards

My service does not appear to be working correctly. Other people cannot see me and my messages are not going through. All looks good from my handset. I'm logged in and everything looks fine.
