use built in Chat application with Data! mobjab.com

Hi Gimco

This is strange. Can you again add your gmail contacts to your mobjab.biz account and let us know if this resolved your problem or not?

Also can you let us know if everything was working fine with your gmail contacts before 2 days? I mean were your able to receive messages from your gmail users?

In the mean time we would also debug this issue at our side.

Hi Sy

You dont receive subscription request per se. You just need to authorise the presence/status.

Checked your account. It seems to be fine. When you login to the web client or handset do you see your contacts online/offline there?

Hi

No it wont notify you on the IMPS client on your handset. MobJab IMPS Gateway works as a proxy which acts as a bridge between the MobJab Server and the External IM servers.

Never got anything of the sort. And even if I DID, I would have clicked yes. So there is no doubt that I would have the correct settings atm. What now?

Before two days all was working perfectly.

I was removed all my buddies of the my mobjab.biz.
I was removed the mobjab.biz buddy from my gmail account.

Then, I exit from both IM clients (nokia handset and pidgin), and relogin again.

On my handset IM client, I add the [email protected] as new buddy on my mobjab.biz.
Pidgin show me a alert about authorize [email protected], I select ok.
Also, from pidgin, I add the [email protected] as buddy on my gmail account.

On my nokia, my account [email protected] appears offline.
In pidgin, my [email protected] appears offline.
Relogin both IM clients.

On my nokia handset, i start a conversation with the gmail offline buddy, I say "Hello".
The pidgin receive the message "hello" from the buddy mobjab.biz, but it appears as offline.
From pidgin, I response to the message received from modjab.biz buddy, and I response "Hi!".
The message "Hi!" isn't never received on my nokia handset :'(

Thanks for the support ;)

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the great service. This is exactly what I was looking for; I am not too fond of needing to have Fring or Nimbuzz autolaunch each time I power on the phone, and your solution allows me to use the built-in IM client on the N85. :)

Built-in IM client on the N85? Yes, I said that, and I mean it. You won't see it in any menu, though; it is hidden. To launch it, you need to use the voice prompt (hold down the right soft key in the idle screen) and say "Instant Messaging".

Just found that out here, and I thought I'd pass it on.

Again, thanks MobJab!

Hi,

First off thanks Mobjab for stepping up and providing this service for us...it has been working great until yesterday. I have been recieving server error messages over and over. I have just updated my packet data from "when needed" to "when available" and defind my t-zones access point as default. I am using this service on a E61i.

My username is sadude so if you could take a look to see what is going on I would appreciate it.

thanks

Well, right after my post I am able to do IM with my contacts (those I added by hand, I guess others from my Google talk account will need re-authorization, right?), so everything is working fine right now. At least I think so, as all this settings on my old Nokia E61i was somewhat confusing

Thanks for making this possible and elegant :)

I have been trying the web client applet again this morning...
I'll just be clear that I use a gmail email address on msn messanger.
The web applet is not recognising ANY of my mobjab usernames or passwords.... old or new.

It says: "Sorry. You do not appear to be registered with this transport. Please register and try again. If you are having trouble registering please contact your Jabber administrator."

When I log in.

I have learnt my lesson... if one doesnt work... I wont create another "Im sorry"...
Can we fix it?

I can supply you with any details you need on the new gmail address... or even if you just delete everything attached to my mobile number and I'll start again fresh with the gmail address.

Should I be using my gmail prefix with @hotmail.com or something because its gmail running on msn messenger??

I have cut all my contacts back thinking that might be part of the problem....

Im completely out of ideas.

me again :(

After using this for couple of days I noticed that IM on my phone works for half hour or so, and after that I get "Server error" if I try to send message, unreliable display of contacts statuses, and can't even log out unless I terminate IM on my phone.
I couldn't find the reason for this behavior so I guess it has something to do with mobjab server rather than my phone. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Thanks for your response.

When I go to the Subscriptions option, I only have two choices, "Subscribe fom" or "Unsubscribe from". Neither of which does anything for me. The contacts are either in "none" or "from" subscription status, and using those two options doesn't change the status at all.

so, does it mean that it's automatically added to my id?
also, do i have to edit the subscription setting so that i can see my friends online on the web client?

I am trying to create a Mobjab account on the "Register" account link found at www.mobjab.com but I keep getting an error from the site when I hit Submit. I have tried IE and Firefox both with the same result. Browser error below. Any ideas????
