any of you guys using yahoo?
i seem to be having a few teething problems.
often i get an alert to say new message but on looking theres no message to read?
some of my contacts don't show as online?
and sometimes my contact list doesn't even show, it just says 0/0 ? rebooting the phone usually fixes this?
loggin on with the phone doesn't log me out of the messenger app on the pc?

anyway, carry on the good work guys, hope these bugs can be fixed soon?
 
Hello, i'm very happy with mobjab.biz :clapping:

But for two days not receiving messages from gmails buddies, but they can read my messages. Is the server mobjab.biz does not automatically authorizing incoming messages from my previously authorized buddies?

My gmail client (pidgin) say "From (To pending)" about autorization state of my user at mobjab.biz.

Exist any issues in the server mobjab.biz?
 
Having read through the previous pages of posts i'm still at a loose end.

I'm using a Nokia E71-1, RM-346, running firmware version 200.21.118

After adding my MSN account I don't receive the subscription request, whether this is using the web client or first access on my handset.

I've tried adding and removing the account a few times now, but to no avail.

My user is systanford. I was wondering if you'd be able to help me out?

Hi

For the presence issue just change your presence/status when u login to the imps client. Regarding slowness that would depend on the mobile data connectivity which you have from your mobile provider.

MoJab seems to be working great for me. One question though. If I am logged into MoJab, and go from a 3G coverage to GPRS, will my phoen then divert to voicemail? Is there a way to restrict the connection be online only when it in 3G mode?

Regarding your queries

No matter what text I enter as the Contact List Name, I get the error message "List creation failed". Is this because the IM software can't find an existing list on my phone (or the server?) and isn't intelligent enough to create a new one?

Email us your username so that we can debug the logs at our side.

If there's a way of creating the contact list on the .mobi server and then shifting it to the .net server, I'd really appreciate some instructions.

No. You cant shift as those are seperate servers.

At the moment, each time I log in to the java web client on my pc, I have to re-approve all my contacts so I'm guessing they are not being saved on the server.

Just ignore them. They have to be added/authorised just once.

Is it worth downloading Mobjab Messenger to my phone to try to create the contact list?

No. The downloadable Client works only for mobjab.mobi domain and it wont work out for mobjab.net domain.

Hi

If you want to test your ver 1.3 app then you need to test on mobjab.in IMPS server only. Its fully compliant with imps ver 1.3 specs.

Maybe you can drop us an email and we can take it forward from there.

I read couple of first pages and couple of last pages in this long thread, and it seems I have similar problem to some user posts - I can't see my contacts.
After registering and setting my phone, I started web applet and approved my contact's requests, but nothing on my phone, except two contacts I added manually and even I can't seem to make them work (they are like off-line, thou I know they aren't)
I'm using Google account (so XMPP), and my mobjab user-name is dejan_stojkovic

I really appreciate this clean/native way for IM, and would be happy if I manage it to work on my phone, with your help

Im using a very battered se k750 and have an o2 branded w880i in 5 days. My question is, why do i get messages from mobjab in french when i specified on signup that i needed english? I love this service cause it allows me to use my unlimited data to full effect but unfortunately i have forgotten all my schoolboy french so i dont understand why it wont pick up my yahoo and msn contacts.
 
Is there any difference between registering with a gmail account to a hotmail?? I feel like Ive read the instructions fifty billion times.

I was using a hotmail account to start with... that stopped working a few days ago.. I left it thinking possible server down. But still no luck 3 days later. My phone just wont log in via Sony's My Friends anymore. It was working really well for a while there too.

I logged into the web chat applet thinking I could delete any accounts I may have created in my moment of stress trying to get it to work. Still not sure if I sucessfully removed them because it still says my user name is in use when I try to create a new one. I think I created two under my old hotmail address.

I have registered AGAIN with my new gmail account because Im so over hotmail - but its still not working... I really am running out of ideas here.

If its not too much trouble could someone tell me a way I can view and delete all my accounts besides the gmail one?? The webchat applet is not overly user friendly - or maybe Im just a ******* I dont know.

Is it because I have a gmail and have had to go thru credentials etc to make it work with msn?? Im confused and I miss the 'my friends' app... I was saving so much money in calls :-(

I really just want the ONE gmail account and no other - but I cant get ANYTHING to work right now... Im using a 8.9" notebook and its close to being thrown against the wall. I just want it to work... I miss it *SoB*

Hi

You need to subscribe to the users presence to come to know if that user is online or offline. Log on to the Web Client and when you scroll the mouse over the contacts you will get the subscription status. There are 4 values for subscription status as follows:

1. None: This means neither you nor your contact has subscribed to each others presence updates.

2. To: This means only you have subscribed to your contacts presence updates.

3. From: This means only the contact has subscribed to your presence updates.

4. Both: This means both you and your contact have subscribed to each others presence updates.

You should have subscription status as "Both" for receiving the contacts presence updates and the contact also receiving your presence updates.

You can subscribe to your contacts presence by selecting the particular contact on the Web Client then right click the mouse and selecting the "Subscriptions" option.
