Unsatisfactory and Unresolved loose-ends in Revenge Of The Sith

I read somewhere that he survived the pit monster by killing it when his armor protected him from its digestive juices in a Star Wars novel.

That was my exact response to someone asking the same question.

Sorry, it's difficult to portray sarchasm in text, there are lots of holes in the story that you can fill it in with polyfila and try and glue all the wobbly bits with no more nails and people will still complain that things dont fit they way they think they should.

i still think this all happened too quick.. at the time Anakin thought Palpatine was politically in the right and so was siding to him.. yes this was how Palpatine got him to turn to the dark side along with the power to save padme but he still then turned into a fully fledged Sith too soon he was just fighting for the side he thouht was correct and killing Mace to stop the Jedi's taking power.. to go from that to killing all the other Jedi's is a step too far in 2 mins... he never even got any Sith \ dark side training.. he wasn't angry at that point so wasn't turned by fear or anger like Luke was going to be in ROTJ

you saw his anger make him more powerful at the end in the "nnoooo" scene where the room shakes,,, this could have been explored more

That is not plausible.

Dooku, in Attack Of The Clones, was clearly befuddled by the presence of a clone army when it arrived under the leadership of Yoda and Mace.

He beat a hasty retreat with his Trade Federation, Techno-Union and Banking Clan cohorts when they lost the battle with the Jedi and the clone army.

Also, if he knew of the clone army, why is he wasting time getting the Trade Federation and others to rally to his cause?

I don't know if anyone has already put this as I'm not trawling through ? pages but for me it seems that Sifo-Dius is Palpatine, Sifo-dius (remove the "f" and move the "O" = Sidious.

Palpatine ordered the clone army IMO.

It's not that he didn't mind him killing him, he wanted him to kill him to bring out the darker emotions in him much the same way that he wanted Luke to beat down Vader in Jedi, this would then ensure guilt which leaRAB to fear etc...

That's how I saw it.

oh yeah also remember in episode 3 Yoda basically says to OBI WAN to move on and forget being a Jedi.

hence he remembers nothing too much of the actual detail of the droiRAB etc

"Obi Wan once thought as you do" was what Vader said when Luke was trying to guide him back to the light side in Episode VI. I never saw much evidence of that in this film.

I like the way 'forget being a jedi' is referred to here like it is only an occupation. I get the impression that it would be pretty hard to 'forget' how to be a jedi after decades of training. Yes he doesn't advertise that he is a jedi but he still is one. It is like a religion!

It's because the Seperatists were never meant to win the war. It was all a ploy so that Palpatine would gain increasing power over the Republic, and thus in the end create the Empire after the Separatists had been defeated. Th earmy was always meant for teh Empire not the Separatists.

It was a phoney war instigated on both sides by Palpatine.

I take it you've not seen Epsiodes II & III, yet?

Sifo-Dias is not linked on the starwars database, seems a bit strange espically as every other character in the movies and a few more are.

No he doesn't - he does quite the opposite. He tells him to continue training (via Qui Gonn's spirit) whilst he is in excile.

He does recognise Artoo (although this is revisonist viewing). He looks over at R2 and says with a smile.. "Well, hello my little friend." He only starts acting dumb when Luke wakes up.

There are a couple of things that still puzzle me. maybe someone would be so kind as to offer some kind of explanation:

1) How come the jedi don't sense the change in Anakin before he turns to the dark side. He broke the jedi code by loving and marrying padme. Surely the jedi council would have sensed his feelings? Also, they knew how volatile he was. Were they really as stupid to think that excluding him was the best thing to do??

2) Why doesn't Anakin/Darth Vader ever sense Luke or Leia before the original trilogy?

The discovery of the clone army was entirely accidental. If Obi-wan had not known Dexter, who knew the Kaminoans from their sabre dart technonolgy, the clone army would not have been known.

Palpatine did not appear to know of it either.

I suspect that somehow George Lucas will find a way to plug in the gaps in the TV series.

1) as i said theydid live together so it was hardly a secret he was married.. they knew what he was like which is why he was never made a jedi Master they sensed what he was like.. they couldn't include him just because he was turning to the dark side

2) I don't think Vader ever went to Alderran or Tattoiene so wasn't in contact with them and also he thought they were dead.. he knew Luke had the force him but it wasn't until he knew is name they he knew Luke was is son

The final Star Wars movie Episode III Revenge of the Sith has been slated by outraged fans, because it's riddled with continuity errors.

Viewers have inundated website moviemistakes.com complaining director George Lucas' blockbuster contains 14 glaring mistakes.

One film fan says of the latest film: "When he is telling Anakin how proud he is of him, Obi-Wan's eye colour shifts from Ewan McGregor's natural blue-green eyes to a dark brown."

Another fumes: "When Samuel L Jackson says, 'I don't think the boy can handle it, I don't trust him,' his lips don't match his dialogue."

But the mistakes in the current release are nothing compared to the original 1977 film Episode IV - A New Hope which contained 214 mistakes, and its sequel The Empire Strikes Back, which contained 144.
