Unpopular Opinions: Not everyone thinks "Citizen Kane" is the best movie ever!

I wouldn't say that was an unpopular opinion, everyone knows that this was the biggest robbery in the history of the Academy Awards.
 
Maggie Gyllenhaal was great in the dark Knight.
I didn't like Katie Holmes at all in Batman Begins.
 
Okay here's one.

I liked the movie "Brave New Girl" starring Lindsey Haun and based on the book that Britney Spears and her mom wrote.

It was a cute movie.
 
1. I dont get the Lord of the rings hype, its just another book got adapted. was it good? yes. Did it blow my mind? NO. Did it deserve Best Picture? NO WAY.

2. I LOVE the Batman Movies, ALL OF THEM. No i dont read comics.

3. I think Gwyneth deserved her Oscar, while Juila Roberts totally didnt.

4. Shakespeare in Love is one of my favorite movies of all time. I have memorized it :in_love:

5. I HATE JUDD APTROW Movies with a passion !!!

6. I didnt understand Lost In Translation, near the end i was like what is the freaking plot :mad:

7. Loved Pearl Harbor and at one point i thought Josh was going to get nominated for Best Actor and Kate for Best Actress. silly me :D

8. I LOVE Kate Winslet but seriously what did she do in Little Children, that was different than her previous movies? being Naked perhaps :P

9. How Judi Dench didnt win an Oscar for Notes on a Scandal i would never know, The Queen was amazing but SERIOUSLY !!!!! :confused:

10. Tim Burton. Best Director. Ever to walk the earth. :blush:

11. Johnny Depp should have won an oscar for the third Pirate movie.

12. Jim Carrey, Adam Sandler, Ben Stiller are NOT FUNNY.

13. Julianne Moore is overrated. The Forgotten anyone? that stupid movie with Sam Jackson.

14. Pride and Prejudice should have made a sweep clean at the oscars and GG in 2006. For EVERY category.

16. My Best Friend's Wedding is one of favorites.

17. I HATE Indiana Jones Movies.

18. Clint Eastwood = OVERATED. i Hate every freaking movie he has ever made.

19. Hilary Swank is such a bad actress its not even funny.

20. Cuba Gooding Jr., Hilary Swank, Julia Roberts, Jamie Fox and halle barry should return their Oscars.

21. Jude Law deserved an Oscar for Cold Mountain while Renee and Nichole didnt.
not even a nomination.

22. The only time Eddie Murphy has made me laugh was in the Shrek Movies. Same goes for Mike Myres and Cameron Diaz.

23. Dream Girls = BAAAAAAD.

24. Joe Wright should be the only one allowed to adapt books.

Brokeback Mountain was so boring.
Knocked up sucks. I found it really LAME.

I think Liv Tyler deserves more credit. She is a fantastic actress.

I love the movie Catch and Release, the begining was a little boring, but the rest was amazing.
 
I have to agree about Brokeback Mountain. I couldn't watch the whole thing, I had to fast forward some scenes because it felt like I had been watching the movie for years. I thought it was SO boring. I don't even remember much of what happened, though I did watch it 2 years ago.
 
Another unpopular opinion:

Juno is overrated and not a better "indie" comedy than Little Miss SUnshine, The Royal Tenenbaums, etc. I couldn't watch it a second time b/c the dialogue was too over the top.
 
UO: I wanted Parminder Nagra to be the break out star of Bend It Like Beckaham and play Elizabeth in POTC.

UO: I thought Don Cheadle should have gotten the Oscar instead of Jamie Foxx for his role in Hotel Rawanda.

UO: Shannen Doherty is a great actress and with the right role she could win an emmy/oscar/tony.

UO: I think George Cloony is overrated.
 
Wow, I would think your last item about Tim Burton will get some response on this board. There are quite a few fanatics for Tim.

You seriously can't stand any of his movies? That amazes me (especially since Johnny is in several and he can do no wrong in my eyes).

Unpopular opinion (with Bond fans): The only good Bond movie is Casino Royale and Daniel Craig is the best Bond evah.
 
1. I agree about the Eddie Murphy one. He turns in the best performance of his career and loses...and Alan Arkin wins for a role that wasn't even the best of his career
2. Speaking of Alan Arkin..i cannot stand Little Miss Sunshine..i always complain nonstop when my friends choose to watch it on movie night lol
3. I find nothing great about Johnny's acting in the first POTC movie and have no idea why he got nominated for it
4. I'm starting to worry about Disney/Pixar films..the last one I liked was The Incredibles (and i used to love every one)
5. I HATE the Saw films with a passion. I want them to be stopped for good
6. It bothers me that people like Kirsten Dunst could be considered A-List..but actresses with actual talent like Helena Carter aren't considered that
7. I LOVE Halle's Catwoman and I LOVE Lady In The Water lol
 
#1 - I can't stand A Walk to Remember.

#2 - I don't think Lord of the Rings is that great, actually, if it wasn't for Merry and Aragorn, I wouldn't like it at all.

#3 - Borat wasn't funny for me.

#4 - I HATE Jim Carrey!!

#5 - I don't see why people love Moulin Rouge so much, it was pretty boring for me.

#6 - The same for Matrix (all of them).

#7 - I prefer Raoul over the phantom, in The Phantom of The Opera.

#8 - Not sure if this is UO but, in my opinion The Fox and the Hound is the best Disney movie ever.

ETA: #9 - I can't stand any movie made by Tim Burton.
 
I don't think these would be very unpopular opinions at all :)

1. I think Keira Knightly is overrated
2. As is Kirsten Dunst
3. Jim Carrey should've at least been nominated for ESOTSM
4. Nicole Kidman and Judd Law had zero chemistry in Cold Mountain
5. Although I loved both films, I thought Chicago was a better musical than Moulin Rouge.
