1. Evan Rachel Wood is overrated and can not act and boring.

2. I hated The Departed.

3. The Notebook is really corny.

I HATE Twilight, I've never read the books, but the movie totally SUCKS :sick::sick: Agree about Angelina Jolie also

I think this is a very unpopular opinion, I heard so much about The Silence of the Lambs, and I just didn't think it was all that, I think I was expecting it to be scary, but it really wasn't

UO#12: I actually liked Paris Hilton in House of Wax.
UO#13: Tom Cruise is not that great of an actor. He's so overrated.

There will be Blood and No country for old men were very boring movies, and didnt deserve best picture especially cause Sweeney Todd was made in the same year (though th actors in all three movies did a great job.)

I agree with Casablanca, it might have something to do with the crap iranian voiceover the movie I saw had but I just didnt get this big epic feel from it :look:

I used to be the same way about Casablanca...I rewatched it a few years ago and fell in love with it. Still wouldn't put it on any of my list at number 1 though.

I Also completely agree about harrison Ford...he's awful....glad to see I'm not alone in that one.

Another opinion.....I can't stand Will Smith

I LOVE The 10th Kingdom! I remember watching and taping it when it aired and now I own the DVDs  It's so good! I haven't found anyone to watch it with me since my old roommate in undergrad though. No one wants to give it a chance...Wolf is hot!

UO #1 - I know a lot of people mentioned Oscar snubs/undeserved wins. Well, I for one think the Oscars mean absolutely nothing. It's rare that the wins are at all sensible, imo.

UO #2 - Most action movies bore the stuffing out of me. I know it's a bit oxymoronic, but it's totally true, and I can't really explain it, but I just don't find explosions/shooting/car crashes at all exciting when they're piled one on top of the other. When a good story leads up to an explosion it can be great- the first thing that comes to mind if the beginning of THe X-Files:FTF when Mulder finds the bomb and there' all that tension leading up to the explosion, and then the car gets thown forward. That was fantastic because of all the built-up tension. When it's just all action, all the time the effect isn't the same.

UO #3 - Brad Pitt isn't that great of an actor. He's decent, but way overrated.

UO #4 - Movies should be judged based on what the filmmaker's intentions with it was, not some pre-determined list of things that make a great movie. One of my biggest pet peeves is people judging kids movies as though they were made for an entirely different audience. I think the 1998 Parent Trap (UO #4.5 better than the original) is a great movie *coughiconcough* and 10th Kindgom (often overlooked :()is one of the best mini-series ever. And Pinocchio is overrated, cause I always found it creepy and boring as a kid.*

UO #5 - Thinking a movie is good and liking it are not the same thing. People always seem to get these two confused. I think Gone With the Wind is a great movie, moving, epic, but I don't love it, cause Scarlett is unlikable, and I like liking the main character... yeah. Or, in the same vein as number 4, you can think a movie is good because it's perfect for the target audience, but not like it cause wasn't meant for you.

UO #6 - Catch Me if You Can is Leo DiCaprio's best movie (that I've seen!)

UO #7 -Audrey Hepburn is overrated, and she annoys me a little. Katharine Hepburn on the other hand deserves all the praise she ever got.

UO #8 - XF:IWTB was a very good movie (talking about FTF reminded me), and it still makes me mad thinking about its reviews.

UO #9 - Secret Window is Johnny Depp's best movie (this is coming from a Depp fangirl whose seen and loved most of them) If you haven't seen it, please watch it. It's fantastic.

UO #10 - I don't like Simon and Garfunkel's soundtrack to the Graduate. It's one of the few things I really dislike about the movie. It's not my taste in music anyway, but it's distracting, and takes away from some great establishing shots.

UO #11 - I love the Village and Signs more than the Sixth Sense

UO #12 - Stranger Than Fiction was great. It's Will Ferrell's best movie, and my favorite of his.

* edt. Actually, thinking about it, wasn't Pinocchio's actual intended audience adults? I feel like I've read that somewhere.

The Departed - Wasn't all it was hyped up to be..

George Clooney - Was horrible as Batman.

The Outsiders - Is one of the best movies ever.

All actresses with the name Jessica, should stop acting PERIOD.

I think Jessica Alba and Keira Knightley are way overrated. So are The Lord of the Rings films. I could never get past the first 30 minutes because I fell asleep.

I'm not sure if I've said this before... but The Dark Night is far from beeing great, you take Joker away and there's nothing else worth in the movie (aside from the amazing actors who couldn't really do much with the poorly written characters).
Pretty average super hero movie. Batman Begins was much better.

Oh, you reminded me, I'm not interested in Twilight at all and I think Robet Pattinson is mostly very unattractive. I don't see what's hot or even cute about him.

The fact that Zodiac was completely ignored last year boogled my mind. He might get it this year with The Curious Case of Benjamin Button though. Cross your fingers, because he has made a lot of my favorite films (Fight Club, Se7en, Zodiac).

I've watched Citizen Kane many times, and while I think it was a movie that was very much ahead of its time, I wouldn't consider it to be the greatest movie ever made. Still though, Orson Welles did an incredible job in it, and he never topped what he did in that movie.

I didn't really like Mamma Mia- there was WAY too much signing. My mom and I were like, Can they ever talk instead of breaking out into song and dance every five minutes?? Although I did like the original songs that were sung by Abba, I still didn't really like this film...
