Unpopular Music Opinions

He was alright but he kinda made music in a genre I didn't really have alot of love for.... might actually like some of his stuff in hinRABight, given that my horizons have expanded a bit since then, but it's definitely not a priority for me to seek him out...

More or less, yes. Bass, along with the drums, effectively drives your rythm, it creates a layer of sound. Bass isn't the only aspect I was reffering to though.

That was a poor simile, I don't see how dissmissing a movie bacause you don't understand the language it's in has anything to do with music being lame.

If you have to strain yourself to make out the bass, you can't concentrate on the rest of the song.

Thier music was

I didn't 'dodge' it, in fact I've already explained it in this very thread just pages ago.

Well I like stoner metal (mainly the more doomy type) and love Kyuss, but to be honest, I don't feel that it's that strongly linked with psychedelia. I don't doubt that the movement in the beginning was inspired by psychedelia, but nowadays, stoner metal seems to stand on its own.

Point being that when I listen to Sahg, Sleep or Starchild, it doesn't make me think of the vintage psychedelic gems of 1967-72, Gong, Hawkwind or the Ozrics.

I hope you're joking, Bellamy has a greater vocal range than Yorke does, and regardless, their vocals sound pretty much the same.

So the fact that

1. Bellamy sounRAB like Yorke.

and

2. Is a better vocalist.

makes your statement pretty ironic.

A very unpopular opinion in the Metal community especially:

I think DragonForce are awesome. I don't care what people say. They're not meant to be taken seriously. They have epic, uber-catchy melodies. Lulz-worthy, but oh so cheesily epic lyrics. They incorporate video game sound effects in their music for crying out loud. What's there not to love? ;)
