Unpopular Music Opinions

I didn't even need to read Antonio's post to know you're talking about Zakk Wylde. All I needed was "generic","excessive use of" and "vibrato and pinch harmonics". Yeah he's a prat.

I think the easiest instrument to learn is the keyboard/piano. But that being if you have a good memory of notes. I'm not as good at guitar but piano I can do. Whether that is biased then whatever.

Where the hell were all these opinions last year when it seemed like everyone on rab was tossing the album off saying it was the best thing since the last shiny overhyped P.O.S.

I actually kinda don't mind some fairly derisable banRAB in the modern context.... Alan parsons Project being one of them.... they seem to cop alot of crap from serious music listener types, and although I don't own any of their stuff, i've heard a good deal of it, and it's indulgent and wanky at times, but hey I like indulgent and wanky...

Led Zeppelin weren't that great of a band, both Robert Plant and Jimmy Page weren't that great on their instruments.

Abba was a great act, loved by most people (usually in secret).

The Rolling Stones are/were a better band then the Beatles.

Jimi Hendrix wasn't the greatest guitarist ever, he was actually quite sloppy at times.

Sigur Ros don't sing in gibberish, they sing in Icelandic. On () they made up an entire language called Hopelandic and even though it doesn't actually exist, they did form a completely working language for it. It is hardly gibberish.

All of those songs you listed are pretty mediocre/barely good (OKC pushers would say otherwise about Paranoid Android, but that's them).

Where am I missing all of this stuff from? I have never once seen Radiohead given unanimous fan boy praise. None of their fans have ever claimed they're the saviors of music. Are people pulling these 'overrated' claims out of their ass, or is their some validity to them that I'm missing out on all of the time?

ps. The fact that they have a lot of plays on Last.fm doesn't justify anything. Neither do the end-of-decade/end-of-year lists littered with Radiohead releases, those are just music sources that purposely bias themselves to appeal to the fans of the music. I would hardly consider that overrating them.

Here's an unpopular opinion. Generilizations about entire genres that have a huge amount of ridiculously different sub-genres are ridiculous.

I think he's an okay actor. I haven't heard too much of his music but what I have heard was just okay. Not horrible by any means but not great either.

But seriously. What does Lucifer Sam like?

When you say all indie and metal is crap, all post punk is crap, all pop is crap, all mainstream rap is crap and that concept albums are crap (that pretty much leaves out prog and most classic rock) then what does that leave? Stoner rock or something?

Look, I hate on Indie because it's my subjective opinion. Saying it all sounRAB the same is just objectively wrong. And I don't agree with dismissing EVERY indie act either, something I never did.

No, I have to give credit where credit is due, most modern Indie does indeed suck, but at least these banRAB suck in their own unique and special ways. :)
