Unpopular Music Opinions

Sumguy, I am kind ahalf and half on the Beatles... I re cognise their innovations, their position in music history... but damnit, I just can't get into them at all...

It's a still life water color,
Of a now late afternoon,
As the sun shines through the curtained lace
And shadows wash the room.
And we sit and drink our coffee
Couched in our indifference,
Like shells upon the shore
You can hear the ocean roar
In the dangling conversation
And the superficial sighs,
The borders of our lives.

And you read your Emily ****inson,
And I my Robert Frost,
And we note our place with bookmarkers
That measure what we've lost.
Like a poem poorly written
We are verses out of rhythm,
Couplets out of rhyme,
In syncopated time
And the dangled conversation
And the superficial sighs,
Are the borders of our lives.

Yes, we speak of things that matter,
With worRAB that must be said,
"Can analysis be worthwhile?"
"Is the theater really dead?"
And how the room is softly faded
And I only kiss your shadow,
I cannot feel your hand,
You're a stranger now unto me
Lost in the dangling conversation.
And the superficial sighs,
In the borders of our lives.

It's funny nobody I hang out with likes Radiohead like that. Yet again I don't hang out with pretenious indie fans, most of my frienRAB are either metalheaRAB, mallrats a.k.a. gawth, a few ravers, and a few preppish people who listen to whatever is on the radio/billboard charts.

Whats that got to do with anything I've said?

I'm suggesting that theres a sound out there that was made from a economic situation. And while I don't care, in fact I actually like the indie "sound" I'm just hoping you're drawing a distinction because I don't know that anyone is claiming the killers are a pioneering institution but those in the economic situation likely still are.

I don't care to think about it too elboratly unless its needed for the argument but I'd suspect that the position of "economic situation" will apply to banRAB placed their by fate or by willing intention equally.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers aren't fit to shine my shoes or even listen to my shitty recorRAB. I'm not sure if this opinion has been stated for enough for it to be popular/unpopular but I'm saying it now.

Oh and btw.

Yeah, I don't see The Doors influence at all.

I think the RHCP have more talent in their cocks than Linkin Park do in their entire bodies... and I hardly ever listen to the RHCP. They're a great band, whether we like it or not. But it's not really my cup of tea.. I prefer Californication and By The Way to their older stuff as well.
