Unpopular Music Opinions

Well, I could say that nobody craps on Mudhoney because they're far more consistent then Soundgarden but its probably because Mudhoney is cooler to like...

Don't worry, I don't hold Nickelback against Canada. First band I think of is actually Rush. Nickelback just reminRAB me of American hicks.

I thought Bush was a horrible disappointment since they came from the UK, I thought they sounded bloody awful, I consider myself pretty much a big fan of UK music, I've been a big fan of British Rock starting with The Shadows, through The Beatles & Stones to The Smiths etc etc upto The Arctic Monkeys. The Kooks are infinitely better then Bush, I think I heard they're named after George W. & George H. repsectively. I personally don't consider Bush as "Grunge" per se since they do not hail from Seatles, but as a Post-Grunge either from UK or US they are far from the best.

DepenRAB for me. I think Faith no More and Mr. Bungles are great. I also like Fantomas, because at least it's reasonable.

However this solo 'music' like Adult Themes for Voice or whatever, is completely devoid of any real musicality, and I'm tempted to say that anybody who tries to say otherwise is just trying to stand out.

I think Okkervil River are boring as hell.

I know thats gonna sound funny to you when coming from someone who can't get enough of 20 minute prog epics about armadillo-tanks (the best kind of tanks). But I do, I find it way more boring than that.

I don't see how Chris Cornell writing the hits backs up your statement that DotU was practically a Cornell solo album. So what your saying is, songs like Boot Camp, Tighter & Tighter, and Dusty are examples of Soundgarden trying to sound like themselves but failing? Does this hold true to Applebite as well?:usehead:

Soundgarden's career was one big progression. No two albums sound the same. It was Cornell's show after Superunknown? I don't think so. It was a BAND EFFORT. This isn't Smashing Pumpkins were talking about. Everyone contributed to the overall sound.
