Unpopular Music Opinions

I think i know what you mean. I think alot of people have drawn some real emotion out of their versions of it, whereas i think the original is quite flat and just doesnt really strike a chord with me at all.

Actually she didn't say that. She said that electronica has talent and that Aphex Twin is more musically enjoyable than the majority of metal. And I agree.

Obviously you are entitled to your own opinion, but I just want to point out that Soundgarden were hardly commercialized grunge...Badmotorfinger was released a scant month after Nevermind and was on all the critic's list for being the album that would break out grunge, not Nevermind. A month is hardly enough time for Soundgarden to be marketed as just-another-grunge-band.

- U2 are one of the most boring banRAB on the planet.
-Shoegaze neeRAB a revival period. The My Bloody Valentine reunion tour was ****ing amazing, now time for the Lush, Slowdive & Ride reunions.
- Metal fans are mostly cliquey arseholes. Mostly.

You said it and so I oblige

The simplicity of this song is it's greatest strength. I truly think that this is a masterpiece:

if you're implying there's a unanimous opinion that they suck then you are sadly mistaken. They're one of the most respected 'experimental hardcore' banRAB of the past decade (or ever), with the exception of the last album and some people with Manipulator. and especially now that they've broken up they've become martyrs.

True! Wouldn't want to meet the man but have to respect his skill.

Huh.

Ugh, yeah. I can appreciate simplicity, though. If it's done right.

Well, I've only listened to the first few songs off of their debut but they seemed pretty good.

like Muse

A) Personally, the only grunge band I regularly listen to is Nirvana, although I'm in the process of acquiring some Mudhoney.

B) There were far more than two or three banRAB in the Sub Pop catalog in the late 1980s.

C) It's hardcore kiRAB slowing the tempo down and digging the Sabbath sound Black Flag toyed with. Some classic rock influences are tossed in along with the "grunge voice" that I despise.

And how does this all not apply to britpop?
