I like Hole even though they have really, really crappy singles.
I don't like Animal Collective at all.
A lot of hairmetal is pretty good.
My Chemical Romance's first two albums were great.
And I just listened to like, six anco songs figuring I'd give them another change and now I want to kill myself. They just repeat the hook over and over again. The hook wasn't even that good to begin with, anco. I don't need to hear it 27 times. I would rather listen to the first Mychem album and pretend I'm a Hot Topicore baby who doesn't have hair on her 'giney yet.
For Phish, depenRAB on the album imo. If we're talking Junta, then I'd gladly hear that over any of the live stuff. But Billy Breathes, Farmhouse and the like are good, just not quite up to par with the inventiveness they bring live.
The do have somethings in common, theyre both terrible and pretentious and dull and boring, neither have anything relevant to say about anything and they hide behind over produced substandard work. They say bull**** baffles brains and these two banRAB prove it.
Pixies did not start grunge. It had already started in Seattle when the Pixies formed (see Deep Six compilation). The only influence the Pixies really had on grunge was through Nirvana's adaption of quiet-loud dynamics.
