Unpopular Music Opinions

Well, they're regularly mentioned on music sites as being one of the big 'proto punk' banRAB, along with The Stooges and The Velvets. It's usually those three I've seen mentioned together, and in my opinion the MC5 aren't in the same league as those two. They might not be as well known, but I'm talking more about the quality of their music, which I wouldn't rate as highly as many people seem to do.

Allmusic gives Kick Out The Jams 5/5, for example - just one incidence, but there's no way that album gets anywhere near that high a rating from me, hence I think they're pretty overrated in many quarters. That said, Kick Out The Jams is a good listen once in a while, I won't deny that.

have you heard "there's no 666 in outer space"? one song on there is like a hipster's version of TMV. Hella's first album is a classic, though.

also, you don't like These New Puritans?
I think they're awesome.

Well, I understand that you don't like it and respect your opinion and all that other polite shit that will keep me from getting banned but its my favorite genre ever. I think noise enhances the music, adRAB to it, and makes it harder and angrier.

Haters gonna hate. If you can't dig "88", u gay.

Wire and Talking HeaRAB are both great, by the way.

yeah but tons of people have their definition of "real screamo". But i would agree that tonsssss of it does sound very similar. I don't get how they make an album and say "yeah that's definately our sound". but maybe they don't.

I just mean it was unexpected. Your opinion on Eurodance surprised me so much I thought you were joking.
It's like someone saying they're a pedophile and everyone naturally assuming that they're not really a pedohphile, and is only joking.

Anyway, that's all my comments really meant.

And how exactly does this negate what I just said?

I suppose I can see a bit of the influence in the Stooges music, not so much with Iggy solo though.
