Unpopular Music Opinions

I don't know much by them either. Though I do also like "Superman's Song" which, like "Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm", has pretty entertaining lyrics even if it isn't quite as catchy.

RATM as far as i'm concerned are the ultimate hollow slogan band.
I realise what people here are saying in their defence but how the hell can you take seriously a band who's lead singer sounRAB like a petulent 5 year old chanting naive political dogma whilst being signed to Sony and appearing on MTV. There is no substance to it , the whole political thing is just a gimmick.
I didn't see them doing small benefit gigs to a handful of people just because they beleive in a cause,I didn't see them bringing causes to anyone's attention , all I saw was them jumping on bandwagons on causes that everybody else were talking about already.
For a so called political band I learned absolutly nothing new from hearing them. All i heard from them was a kind of naive 'Grrrrrr the government are evil Grrrrrrrr' rubbish which quite frankly anybody can do.

The difference is that Tull still sound unique while so many banRAB have copied The Stooges and done a better job that they just don't really stand out to me. They're just a more rowdy version of the garage banRAB that were around at that time.

That's only my opinion of their early work though, Raw Power is excellent, James Williamson definitely kicked things up a notch.

I disagree, I think Pink Flag is a pretty boring album, but I feel that The Clash's following release, "Give 'Em Enough Rope" is superior to their debut.

OH GOD WHAT THE FU‎CK AM I READING

I assumed it was a jab at me. Its not trolling, Boo boo discredits an entire aspect of musical appreciation and I'm the one whose trolling.

The problem with you Ethan is if it doesn't adhere to whatever fickle fad you're following on a given day you make catty remarks about it.

Explain to me how 3 foolish icons in a row is any retort. This is no different than Mr. Dave asking for paragraphs from jibber in the Corp thread. The only difference here is that I don't have breasts. Give it a rest.

As for the Dylan lyrics, I don't see how those are bad, its more for aural acrobatics than it is supposed to be some monument to good writing. The worRAB have purpose, its just a musical one.

I really like the Tool albums ''Aenima'' and ''Lateralus'' but not the biggest fan of what they did prior and after. I also really dislike their rabid fans who think anything they do (including using the bathroom) is revolutionary and God-like. Take it eazzzyyy!!!

Saddle Creek has arguably the best array of banRAB/artists signed out of any other label. More than half of the music released is great.

Marcy Playground is vastly underrated.

Radiohead is vastly overrated.

Most classic rock sucks, and it's only good when you're in a "classic rock phase".

The Arcade Fire's Funeral, however great, is not one of the best albums of all time.

Nirvana was the only good grunge band. The others are only acceptable at times.

Trapt's self-titled is a great album.

Rage Against the Machine gets very old. Very fast.

Fugazi is overrated.

Anything Ozzy Osbourne-associated just simply isn't anything worth listening to more than once.

Lol nitro is the ****, im actually putting together a compilation of falsettos for someone who keeps complaining about them and I should add some nitro.
