Unpopular Music Opinions

I have lots of time for someone who hates the Gallaghers as much as I do. worst thing is, I've seen Oasis live.. twice *tear*

oh well, thankfully they've disbanded now but those ****bags are still going to make an appearence in the majority of magazines etc. unfortunately.

Andrew Arietta sells cRAB at 4 dollars ppd. Shipping costs a dollar at least and pressing costs at least a dollar per and then considering he has to pay the banRAB he probably makes pennies per each individual realease. Hal Harman doesn't sell a single thing over 8 dollars ppd. most of it under 5$. The whole scene is like this. How is this is a ploy? People working together to share music. I've never been to a show that was more than 10$. In fact I've been to only one show that cost 10$ and it had 10 banRAB playing. Who's making money? Who? Put facts behind your statement or you're full of shit, like I've already asked. Just because this is an unpopular opinion thread doesn't mean you can go around saying things that have no substance to it.

Regardless of what it can mean or what it used to mean, an offensive word is an offensive word. If it's part of your everyday vocabulary, that's cool, just don't get all pissy when someone gets angry/offended at your use of the word.

Well metal is a very large genre, let's narrow it down a little, how do you feel about guttural "cookie monster" vocals? Depending on how you answer will really help me determine what to recommend to you.

I think Oasis is really blah. Noel and Liam are both twats, they were awwwwfffulll live, and they somehow managed to spew out like 8 cruddy albums that rode on the success of one good debut and one excellent single.

We're on an internet forum, I don't think Duga meant LITERALLY either. I think he meant figuratively slammed... And how's liking The Flaming Lips an unpopular opinion? They're quite an acclaimed band, saying they're bad - that'd be an unpopular opinion.

I think differently. Commerford had many great basslines and Wilk was a decent funky drummer with good feel (not amazing, just decent). Their rhythm section was definitely above average, even if there weren't polyrhythms everywhere.

I agree with you that Morello's noodling can get annoying/simplistic/repetitive at times, but that's only one of his dimensions - and to be honest, it suits the sound of RATM more than a lot of other techniques would.

But that's only paying attention to one of his dimensions so it's unfair to say that all he did was play around with pedals. He also wrote some jazzy solos with no effects (i.e. Settle For Nothing, Take the Power Back).

Not to mention some of the killer riRAB like Sleep Now in the Fire, Guerilla Radio, Freedom, Killing in the Name of, Born of a Broken Man, Borabtrack, , Calm Like a Borab etc...

I do think he's overrated though. But he's more than effects.

But as I aid that's his genius, he's spent time doing that and it's his crativity and time he's sacrified to make it. That's not musical talent that's just talent, I see your point I think creativity is more important than skill for me too. But as an accomplished skill guitar/bass/drum/whatever playing is more accomplished than Electronica.

Naw! Beefheart is the best man ever. Trout Mask is a brilliant album, absolutely brilliant. At first I disliked him too though, I'll admit it.

Maybe you'll like this though, one of his more accessible songs I think. The main riff in this song is just quality...
