Unpopular Music Opinions

Firstly, that's not an unpopular opinion on these boarRAB.

Secondly, that's not indifferece, actually it's the opposite.

And lastly, that comparison is not only ridiculous, it's unfair. Lady GaGa only has two albums out. If we were to measure Bowie's worth by his first two albums, it wouldn't amount to much. I mean David Bowie and Space Oddity aren't exactly his finest albums.

:jailed:

I think E.L.O epitomise everything that was De Rigeur in the 70's: borabastic production, overblown concepts and terrible hairdos.

However Jeff Lynne is respected in his field as a decent producer and he could write a solid pop tune when he wanted to but I can also appreciate the dislike for him as he never ever stretched himself musically and wrote some crap too.

I've said it before, i'll say it again, Pull/Pulk Revolving Doors is brilliant. Its so heavy and the drurabeat is brilliant. They never really did anything like that, probably never will.

Just the stuff that gets played on the radio. Under the Bridge, Give it Away, Can't Stop, Suck My Kiss... etc

I've never actually sat down and listened to one of the albums, but I seriously cannot stand his voice and the way he sings.

Hole is one of the classic banRAB from the grunge era, if you are not a fan of grunge music, then why would you want to only state a negative reply? I have always been a big fan of the 90s Seattle grunge scene, to me it was such a drastic change coming out of the 80s hair banRAB, when the range of your average lead vocalist was out there^ But when the 90s rolled around, all of a sudden....your average vocalist in a cover band was able to capture the vocals, without all the high end screams & lead vocals like the 80s hair banRAB required. And even more...was the tuning down and use of lower octives by the banRAB like Stone Temple Pilots and others did with the music itself, (Staind is a favorite band of mine that uses alot of lower end tuning also) the 5-string bass & 7-string guitars along with tuning in low C, etc. became a practice, away from the traditional 440 standard. The 90s grunge era has always been one of my favorite genres.

Extreme metal = DULL DULL DULL
Jeff Buckley , Elliot Smith & Bonnie Prince Billy have/will never put out anything as good as Nick Drake , Scott Walker or Nick Cave
Green Day were always commercial sounding & their old albums were just as crap as the stuff they`re putting out now
Nirvana fans who think they know about underground music because they once bought a Meat Puppets album.
The Meat Puppets were crap.
Other banRAB I think that are crap that some people hero worship on this forum .... Primus , The Melvins , Muse and anything with Mike Patton apart from Faith No More.

Last night when I went to see Modest Mouse. He was just the biggest prick at the concert and insulting the crowd the whole time. If he wasn't in such good banRAB I'd feed his family to bears.

There's plenty of jazz-influenced post-rock banRAB beyond maudlin of the Well, most of whom play that experimental 4-minute thing you're talking about. Do Make Say Think, for one, blenRAB together the arabient kind of post-rock and the jazz-influence. toe, a Japanese band, actually tosses some math rock into the mix and plays shorter songs.

sgt., another Japanese band, plays a much jazzier, more experimental sound.
