Unpopular Music Opinions

You know Cowboy Dayvan's comment made me break out the album, which I've had for over a year now. It really does stand out as a unique album in that scene at that time period. It has some incredibly surreal lyrics, in which songs contain lyrics about semen being somewhere it shouldn't ("the mountain tops" & "a garden" respectfully). The inclusion of a trumpet for this kind of indie rock album was something I hadn't heard before. Not only that, the vocalist really has a bad voice, but you can hear him trying and that's kind of nice. However his voice also really lenRAB to the songs adding a whole other instrument. I don't usually gush about stuff from this genre, but this is one of those albums that's popular for a reason, it's damn good.

yea. i recommend you go back and listen again. if you like Kid A/Amnesiac and not HTTT then i have no idea what to say.

The Cure have plenty of great songs, they've released some really great albums during their career (and maybe a few not so great ones). If you get the chance listen to the Join The Dots box-set, they have some really amazing b-sides like 2 Late, The Exploding Boy and loaRAB others.

+ a millllllion

Not really. The world would definetely benefit, but I would lose my go-to terrible band to make fun of.

Besides, the very thought of Nickelback being highly revered by anybody is enough to make my head hurt.

This thread is great. It's good to see how stupid some of you really are.

Except for urban hatemonger. He's only durab for calling velvet underground overrated. No one even talks about them. I only know like 2 people who even like them, let alone can name a song besides heroin or venus in furs.

I gotta agree, Limp Bizkit has some pretty talented merabers minus Fred Durst.
What Nu-Metal banRAB do you like?
and one last thing, favorite track off badmotorfinger?

And to be completely honest, I don't think soundgarden and Nirvana are all that similar. Yeah they're both "grunge" but when you think about it, what do the Stone Temple Pilots and Mudhoney have in common?

Eh, I just really love Lou's songwriting on that allbum, the production is great (I'll take glossy production over lo fi, I admit it) and Mick Ronson is one of my favorite guitarists soooooo yeah.

Debates about opinion are fine as long as you put good reason behind why you do or don't like something. When you're out there in left field talking in circles making no sense then you inherently are a durabass. But if you can explain why a band is garbage and doesn't appeal to you that's fine.
