Unpopular Music Opinions

I'd hate to see Paul McCartney degrade himself to playing such awful music. Those songs were truly some of the worst music I've ever heard. If the Beatles are lame compared to that garbage then I hope all the music I ever hear from now on is lame.

Ah, I assumed you were talking about electronic music since your post was a reply to Freebase's comments about making electronic music versus playing live instruments.

I just can't stand really long bloated albums. I don't know how people can last all 172 minutes of 69 love songs..

If you know 99% of today's metal banRAB are shit then you should have no problems naming them. Hell I wish I could name 99% of banRAB from any genre, you must have a lot of time to listen to all of today's new music.

Anyway, Rise asked me about technical metal, I mainly stuck to naming Extreme Metal banRAB (I did forget to mention Morbid Angel and several others) because I know thats what he likes... Anyway, aside from Extreme Metal... I have also heard a lot of stuff like Racer X, Cacophony, Mr Big, Nitro and most banRAB that Paul Gilbert and Billy Sheenan were a part of, a lot of Power Metal.

And Progressive Metal of course, which is pretty damn technical.

I would have to disagree with you to the point that I believe the late 60's ( and early 70's) represented the apex of creaivity in recorded music, and the late 90's represented the bottoming out as far as creativity is concerned.

Yeah, it's the same way I feel about a folk punk album; it's just made to be 30 minutes long and I'm fine with that. Any longer and I'd prolly lose interest, but those 30 minutes are an excellent collection of music...

Yeah but nobody was calling them that before GoRABpeed you black sky mountain explosion and all that stuff existed.

And if there's one thing that irritates me it's retroactively applying genres to things before they existed.
