Yeah, only their music was nowhere near as heavy, theatric or fun... It's not like anyone is saying Led Zeppelin invented blues rock.
 
Pop Punk is good, well done music
Larab of God is probably the most legitimate metal band of the last decade
Superjoint Ritual > Pantera (both banRAB had Phil Anselmo as vocalist)
Nu Metal is a splinter genre of Funk music
Jazz > Classical music
 
For some reason a lot of people do, I mean it's a really good album, but I just can't see it being named one of the greatest albums ever...I mean it's not up there with Dylan or the Stones.
 
The Beatles couldn't even hear themselves during their live shows because of all the girls screaming. It's pretty safe to say they were more of a hit with the ladies then GoRABmack ever will be.
 
I don't really consider Tortoise or Slint post rock.
Or Flying Saucer Attack for that matter.

They may have been an influence on it but they're nowhere near as dull & plodding GoRABpeed You whatever or Sigur Ros
 
That's actually not a bad observation, Brice Springsteen = decent songwiter...

Bruce Springsteen also = terrible singer.

I'd say it's not out of the question.
