Unpopular Music Opinions

AFI has been, and will always be, the shit
Future Days is by far the best Can album.
Joanna Newsom has one of the best singing voices ever.
I dislike the Wu-Tang Clan.
Swoon>Carnavas
Substantial is a pretty sub par MC.

haha touche good sir! Lets seeee I guess I'll use an example I used earlier to start

If you listen to wolfmother, you should be tazered to death.

Pantera is the most overrated metal band ever. Dimebag was not good and phil has never been in a band worth mentioning.

I didn't know this was an unpopular opnion but Yes > Roxy music I can definetly agree with.

And apparently there is a lot of Modest Mouse hate on this board. Don't understand why. Besides that radio song, their discography has been legit as ****.

Gilmour > barrett but barrett is a far more interesting human being.

The misuse of the term "indie" is almost mind boggling. It means indepenent music.

Nirvana had some catchy songs but they ruined the underground music scene. I wish they were never a band.

Popular punk banRAB suck more times than not.

Anyone who thinks there hasn't been any good cd's to come out in years need to get their head out of MTV's ass an look around. Some of the most brilliant cd's have come out in the past 10 years.

I find that At The Drive-In is unlistenably bad sounding. I guess that might not be the most obscure of opinions, but it certainly puts me in the minority on rab.

True but it's certainly not an unpopular opinion. Apart from Kiedis the others are/where good individual musicians, they can certainly play but they just came together and recorded complete toss. And i'm including their 80's material.

Only the first 3 albums actually, but I always hear that they're the only ones that matter. Everything I say still rings true. Except when I say repetitive I mean the song structures rather than their overall sound.

Wire went through a significant evolution in just 2 years I'm not denying that. Pink Flag and 154 don't even sound like they're from the same band. Pink Flag is their catchiest and 154 is their most interesting sonically though it lacks strong melodicism. Chairs Missing is their best as it's the transition album and maries the strong points of those other two albums.

But Entertainment! is superior to them all and for the reasons that I cited.

mmm, I would disagree with that. Very little of their music actually involves.. i guess Speed Metal would be the best way to describe it. Of their music that I've heard, which is quite a lot, I couldn't say that I've come across much that would warrant this comment. yes, some of their songs contain some elements of this, but it's hardly the crux of their musical style. If you want to blame someone for that particular fad, I'd recommended stabbing Dragonforce repeatedly. hell, I'll make it easier for you. Have fun!

For an example, let's take one of their better songs (in my opinion).

First off, this made me laugh:

Damn, they're some epic fanboys. But let's not judge a band by their followers, ok?

...Please?

Now, I don't expect all of you taking part in this debate to watch it, perhaps you've already heard it, perhaps you really don't give a shit, so I'll just let you know that there isn't a hint of speed metal at any point in this track. Yeah, they go on a bit at the end, which really isn't necessary, Yes it's not ground breaking, but it's a pretty solid piece of music that I enjoy listening to, the lyrics aren't about nothing, and it's, if clich

I love Breathless by Nick Cave and the Bad SeeRAB but I haven't heard any of his other stuff so I can't really say. Breathless is NOT boring though.
