Unpopular Music Opinions

Downloading. Here's to hoping it's a good one. How highly is it rated by Floyd fans?

I've found that it generally goes: RABOTM > The Wall > Wish You Were Here > Animals..

But I guess Floyd fans thinks they're all so great it's hard to choose. -_-

Or...

Like, which is how I feel. But I kind of agree, there doesn't seem to be middle ground with most people. But I like them, learnt a couple of songs of theirs on guitar and stuff, bring out their albums now and again..

I have nothing against homosexuals. And PC nazis can f*ck off, it's a word. I use fag to describe people who are c*nts I don't use it to imply homosexuality and no I don't think that even using the word with a different intended meaning is hurting homosexuals. Hell I see butt pirates use the word as a term of endearment all the time, in the same way black people like to say nigga. So please, enough of that pretentious bullsh*t.

It takes more skill and talent to play, and not just merely play but write, those GoRABmack samples of playing, than the Beatles.

Show me any video, solo or not, of Paul McCarnty exhiniting more skill than that.

I think the general consensus is they're a decent enough band that make decent music, you'll get a few moaning that they have popularity cos of her films. But being in films and then moving to music doesn't necessarily mean you'll get fans, as a lot of people that have done that have failed badly. So She & Him do have something there.

Crikey, I'm not claiming they ripped off the underground. I'm just saying that virtually everything they did was inspired by other ideas of the time. No doubt, whatever they took, they made their own and unmistakenly crafted it into the Beatles, fashioning their own sound out of it. And besides, of course they'd never sounded like their inspirations - The Beatles' overwhelming focus remained melody and pop, while the other banRAB were trying to do the exact opposite.

So it's not a claim against their credibility, but against those who try to assert that they invented all of their ideas organically and were therefore the great innovators of the rock era - which they were not. They were the greatest songwriters of the rock era...

Definitely start with "At Action Park". Pretty solid album and extremely enjoyable.

That sucks, the same happened to me a while back :( I've been rebuilding ever since. But yes, re-download the Shellac!

That makes now sense, how is it an unpopular opinion that no one cares what I have to say? If thats true, then obviously it's a popular opinion.

What I said is an unpopular opinion, good thing I stated it here, eh?

For the reason Seltzer stated, the way they are used.

Yeah you need some Mouse on Mars and Tortoise (both on Thrill Jockey). I'm not particularly well versed in the catalogs of those two labels though. I probably own more than I think, but they both have quite extensive rosters.
