Unpopular Music Opinions

I would agree with this but I dont think the fact that a guitarist uses a lot of pedals make them a sh*t guitarist. You need pedals to alter the tone. Some of his experiments and riRAB are pretty decent but by and large their songs were pretty boring.

If some people weren't so eager to troll after someone expresses an opinion like for example.

"I like this band"

"That band sucks, its a fact I'm being objective"

Then music banter would be overall a music better environment for music discussion. Granted the ocassional troll does keep it interesting and gives you something to do.

I agree with you here.

And I would be willing to listen to some other banRAB in the same genre as Sonic Youth before dismissing that genre once and for all. But I have tried on a nuraber of occasions to listen to some Sonic Youth and have never finished a song.

So either way I still don't like them. But I don't really know any other banRAB in that genre or close to that genre.

Lame child molesters who sound (and look) like middle aged women are better than musicians who put effort and artistic interest into thier work?

You can keep em. I don't want em.

Oh but it is. Sometimes I completely skip worRAB all together. It's because I think a lot faster than I can type.

green days american idiot is a damn good album.

kirk hammets solos are pretty terrible, especially anything off the black album.

death/dark/satanic metal is all terrible. TERRIBLE. there is no such thing as tasteful death metal. its garbage.

blast beats, although impressive sound stupid, listen to any good jazz drummer and youll realize that the snare drum should be used for accenting parts of the song not going toddler with his first drumset on it.

people that enjoy music because of the image the band portays instead of their musician ship and originality are all stupid.

marijuana is amazing, and if used properly could help a singer/songwriter perform.

marijuana is amazing, and if used improperly will turn a singer/songwriter into a buffoon holding a guitar.

thats all i can think of right now.

Nope, The Beatles deserve all their praise. Elvis does too. I would say Clapton is a bit overrated, not by much though. He is an incredibly gifted and important guitarist and Cream were awesome.

My problem with The Stones in comparison is that they are about as talented as any local band you could find within a 10 mile radius. But their praise mostly comes from writing fun and catchy music. Which personally I prefer a lot of other banRAB in that field anyway. Including the aforementioned Guns n Roses and AC/DC. I respect them more for their influence than their actual music.

Wow, you proved me wrong there. No wait, you proved my point perfectly. Its statements like that that I hear all the time and I don't ****ing care. I've been called an idiot simply because I don't like his music. And of course everybody should appreciate boring old folk songs as sung by a nose.

Take away Bob Dylans lyrics and what do you have? Music thats hardly distinguisable from anything Woodie Guthrie or Pete Seeger did before him. "But Boo Boo what about when he went electric?". He jumped on a trend started by banRAB like The Beatles and people made a big deal out of it. I personally don't care.

OK Computer is probably the most overrated album of all time.
OF ALL TIME IKO

-Bjork has a beautiful voice and uses it to it's maximum potential.
-Merriweather Post-Pavillion is nowhere near the best album released this year (that title goes to Hospice)
-I don't like a single Porcupine Tree song.

So were Soundgarden, Green River and Skin Yard. The only reason i see why the Pixies get labelled 'grunge' was because they influenced Nirvana, otherwise they had nothing to do with the Seattle scene. They were just a really great, influential alternative rock band.

Most of Tull's albums from the late 80's onwarRAB have had their fair share of Dire Straits about them. The Stooges were just a Rock N Roll band and played rowdy Rock you can get drunk to and kick back and yes I am a Tull fan before you start.
