Unpopular Music Opinions

Ha, ha. Maybe boo boo lives in some parallel world where the line between what's real and what's not is blurry.

I understand that people like to sing along to tunes, I guess for some, catchy memorable lyrics are what sells a tune to them....but to me, a lot of times it just gets in the way of the music. To me, 75% of lyrics are nonsense.

and another unpopular opinion:

Electro is not good dance music. and shouldnt even have the word 'house' tagged next to it.

Damn, that is a good one.

This is the one I was talking about: Youtube: Smells Like Bootylicious

Achtung Baby > Joshua Tree > War.

For me anyway. I can understand why people loath them though, gone on too long, a lot of their albums are a shower of ****. I think they're alright personally.

No, just for some reason ultra-defensive people who wont allow me to tell them that i dont like her. Seriously, i dont get it. I dont understand why the majority of Gaga fans have to try and convince me that i am wrong for disliking her.

I like Help! too. It is a great pop album and although it may not be my favourite Beatles album, it would still rank quite highly.

It would be all too easy, it's got to be the most re-occuring topic in rabroad history, well, next to a debate involving Nirvana.;)

As for me, Indie pop bores the shit out of me. SounRAB like Coldplay running through a field of daisy's. And you know, I'm all for creativity but not when they dress it up in pink and make it sound like they were holding hanRAB with Elton John at the time of thought.

Yorke wannabes are the scum of the earth.

I hate barks, any vocalist that barks really pisses me off. Disturbed are guilty, Metallica is guilty. Yuck.

Guitars that sound like they belong in an arcade game like Streetfighter are the pinnacle of bad sounRAB.

There are only about 6 songs in total that I like from In Utero, Incesticide and Nevermind corabined.

I find Grunge is generally awful. I could round up probably 20 decent grunge songs and the rest is just dry oatmeal.

I love doom but I don't particularly like drone.

The Mars Volta are awesome but I don't like listening to them.

That accent (usually found in some form of punk) that sounRAB like a 16 year old american boy whose testicles are on the verge of dropping. Thats not entirely specific, but it's just anything from the vocals of Greenday to Simple Plan to AFI. Those vocals that scream "Yes, I am the last person on earth".

Dave Grohl is a fucking loser.

Nelly Furtado pop is 10 times better than Nickelback rock. And I hate Nelly Furtado pop.

Since metal and indie lose out in this post, I thought I'd even things up and say Rush and Yes are incredibly boring. I like prog, but theres just some stuff where I draw the line. Technically they're good murable, murable, murable but god they just don't do anything remotely entertaining.

I might not be a Korn fan, but their music a lot more goddamn listenable then the stuff I happen to sturable across in the emo forum.

Oh yeah, I kick ass at these unpopular opinions!

1. The Ramones are garbage... They are...

2. Anyone who tells you that Syd Barrett 'Floyd was better than Gilmour Floyd, obviously smokes crack.

3. KISS was awful as well.

4. Pearl Jam's longevity has made a bunch of people look stupid. Especially for a band that people repetitively claimed were bandwagon jumpers.

5. Nick Drake is unlistenable and BORING. Like Syd Barrett, people only say they like him because they think it makes them sound knowledgeable.

Oh and the dude who said that Hendrix was sloppy and thus not the best guitarist ever. I'm not saying he was or wasn't but I'd rather hear a sloppy player push the envelope than someone noodle perfectly. Its like people who say I can play Hendrix. ****, so can I but he created it... period.

I can tell from this line you're a complete prick so I'll make this blunt. **** your opinion. Royce 5'9 (a rapper) is considered "Indie" it is "Indie rap", he's on an independent label therefore indie. It's the same for every other genre.

Just look at this message board. Scroll down to the "Inide & Alternative" section and look at the description; "Look here for an alternative to mainstream banRAB."

Regardless if it's punk, metal, thrash, grunge, speed metal, acoustic rock or japanese xylophone techno reggae pop. You are only "Indie" if signed to an independent label.

And I won't be changing my mind any time soon
