**TRANSFORMERS MOVIE** The review you've been waiting for! v.all that shit by me

Saw it a second time tonight. I've got to say that I actually enjoyed it a lot more the second time around. I still think they got lazy with the action sequences and that there was too much human , but overall, it was a pretty decent movie.

I thought it was matrix

composer seems to be the only one making any effort to create drama.

awesome line from a review.

I totally agree with him on the whole Turturro's role. The guy is talented as fuck, he just doesn't fit.

Too many jokes.

I still have to say I liked it though. Will prolly less second time around, but it was still entertaining.

I'm not just BLINDLY saying he's a shit director, it's a widely accepted fact that he's nothing more than a glorified music video and commercial director. Artistically he hasn't improved a single thing since directing Meatloaf videos and Milk commercials. The movie suffered largely because of his ineptitude to properly tell a story, making shit look cool is his #1 and only priority.

The fact that 150m is not astronomical by any means any longer when you have films getting the same reviews that cast $100m-$150m more to make.

And in the last decade all 3 have had a very noticeably darker and more adult themed stories than anything Transformers has ever had. Your comparison has failed.

Without going into a large amount of detail, I felt letdown by the film.. Tank summed up most of the things I noticed. The first 1/3 of the film felt polished and from that point forward it felt like Bay was shooting a music video. The idea of script went out the window, scenes were patched together without a well thought out transition.

My complaints:

1. Overlooked/disregarded information
.. a. Somehow transformers can be incapacitated by extreme cold. If that's the case how can transformers navigate/operate in space? Obviously, this simple concept passed over Bay's head..
.. b. In the animated series the transformers were near impervious to human weapons. In the film this was disregarded and imho did the film a disservice by making the threat of alien attack to easy to solve for the sake of making a two hour movie. By making it easy for humans to kill them, it took away from the focus on the autobots vs. decepticons and turned that attention towards humans blowing up the threat without much more effort than a laser guided bomb.

Was that the trailer at the going away party or whatever and shit starts blowing up? Yeah....there was more character development and suspense in that trailer than in the entire Transformers movie...which is why I got sick to my stomach when I heard Bay was directing, outright knowing it would be nothing more than what I expected going in kind of sucked.

i grew up pretty into the transformers, they were apart of my childhood. And i shed one lone tear when optimus died. For me, he stayed dead, i didnt honor that bullshit "optimus returns" nonesense. He stayed dead for years and years, and after watching this movie it was like the 1st time he truly "returned". Optimus prime is like my 3rd grandpa, the movie did him justice, i excuse that for some shaky camera.

I really really came into the movie wanting to love it. Hoping it would be the best action movie I ever saw. I still like it, only because it's the Transformers, but I was disappointed at the same time.
