Transformers is Fantastic!!!!!

I loved Transformers a lot! I thought the film was far better than the reviewers made out and totally enjoyed myself.

(Yes, I was a fan from the 80s)

Yeah - I wish they had given us a bit more Megatron & Prime rather than so much focus on Bumblebee but it's a good start to the series and should be pretty cool as it progresses.

(Blatant Plug now: I even blogged about it as well - http://hartleyweb.co.uk/?p=92 )

I thought that was one of the scenes that made the film so great, because it made it more entertaining. If it had just been an action film with just huge explosions however big it would have bored me silly, but it was actually really entertaining, and thats what you want from the film.

I didn't worry too much about the story line because big robots from space isn't really meant to make much sense and you have to know that going into the film that its based on toys and meant to be fun. :D

It was a great film. I loved it. It would be nice to see more of the transformers in the next film though, develop the characters a bit but as a first film, they have to do a sequel!

I actually found it very emotional with th Autobots arrived on Earth, I don't know why but I got goosebumps and everything, plus when Blackout takes out the base at the start. :D

It will ruin the experince! this film deserves big buckets of popcorn in a multiplex - not ur sofa! but saying that - you will be get a decent pirate copy of this. its out in NZ now - its out in the US soon and out in UK last. i thought they started to realise these box office giants at the same time round the world at once - to stop pirate copies.

Simon Furman, wow thats a bit of a blast from the past. I wonder what he, Geoff Senior, Lee Sullivan and the other guys that worked on the Transformers comic series are up to now.

To those that mentioned Transformers being just for kiRAB, well that's not true. The toyline was definitely aimed at kiRAB, the cartoon series too but the comic definitely wasn't. There were parts of that comic, especially in the early days that would have been too complicated for a kid to really understand. I'd say it was originally aimed at 15-year olRAB and eventually (by the Generation 2 comic line) aimed at even older than that.

The later stuff, that's the stuff you see on the TV today is most definitely back to being a kiRAB thing. I've seen it once or twice and it's not a patch on the original.

Saw this today, it has it's moments but like most movies with a long scenes with nothing but car chases and explosions it starts to bore me after a while, the autobots were ok shiny and colourful the decaptacons were not so good they all looked the same to me. The acting was so so, was suprised to see John Tuturro pop up. Dialogue was pretty boring which is why I nearly felll asleep once or twice.

Ofcause the fact that this film was made by the guy who made pearl habour didn't help matters

no pun intended, I personally like 300. but don't u feel it's a bit eye-tiring? I mean the theme color is just hurting.
no comparison to transformers rite?;)

Iv just got back from seeing a preview, and its totally awesome the special effects are out of this world its not a kiRAB film its a film for all the family.

I just got back from seeing it, loved it. Much better and a lot funnier than i was expecting. Typical Michael Bay though, i lost count of how many cars were needlessly wrecked, lol, not that that's a bad thing, it just added to the spectacularly OTT-ness of the film :)

And Mixstar, the goosebumps you felt is called having a "geek-gasm", i had the same thing during the final battle, lol.

I see what you mean. Its nothing like Transformers, but of course! it's just because I ate a lot of popcorn to that!!! but 300 can be compared in another way - a film that you have to watch on the cinema. Trnsformers and 300 just ain't the same on a tele. and yes - the whole show is eye-tiring. i saw it on an imax - making a special trip whilst i visited some frienRAB in london - and that was very eye consuming!

I'm 47 and can't wait to see it :o :D

Pure fantasy - machines that turn into robots. How fantastic is that? And my kiRAB used to watch it when they were little - I loved the cartoons back then too. :)
