Transformers is Fantastic!!!!!

Saw this last week, loved it! :D It had its share of cheesy moments too but they made me laugh, overall very entertaining, great effects...and now I keep expecting cars to transform. :p

I just got back from seeing Transformers and it was amazing. One of my favourite films of the year and easily the best of the summer blockbusters so far. I thought there should have been more of Starscream but I guess we will get that in the sequel along with the dinobots. I will be going to watch this again and will defiantly be buying it on DVD as well!

I just read the DigitalSpy reviewers thoughts of this film, and he missed the point of the film entirely. It seems to me that he was expecting the film to have Shakespearean dialogue and plotting...in a film about giant robots beating the crap out of each other. Come on! It's a bloody popcorn movie in every sense of the word. Sit down, disengage brain, enjoy the spectacle. To expect any more is wishful thinking.

This is the second movie "review" where the reviewer has done this, he did the same with Die Hard 4.0. If you want thought provoking cinema, go watch Children of Men, but you really must learn to accept that not every film is going to have similar effects, and that some films are just as enjoyable without the smart plot and dialogue.

Excellent film.

It doesn't matter one bit about the cast, I'm not one of these numpties that have to have all these celeb nobodies in the cast to make a film, all I'm interested in is in the film and whether the actor is believable as the character.

I saw the film today and absolutely loved it! When my boys were little, they had Tranformers on video and watched it on TV - had the toys too (their favourite was Optimus Prime). So as a mum I got caught up in their enchantment of the characters and the wonderment of childhood (all over again).

The film was wonderful for that very reason - a real feast for the eyes (although i agree that at times, so much was going on - and so quickly - it was hard to focus). I loved the funny bits and was quite literally spellbound by the special effects - those little plastic toys brought to life as great, hunkering metallic living robots, with spinning bolts when they talked and stuff!

I came out of the cinema looking at the cars driving past and kept imagining......I was till that place of make-believe!

Great stuff!!!
