Well, it's taken a while but I finally have enough votes. It's time to countdown rabroad's Top 50 Animated Movies. I think that the list is great. It has a lot of variety and seems very representative of rabroad. Because all of the members who sent me lists seemed to have vastly different opinions, there are many obscure movies that made the list as well as classics and soon-to-be classics. I received lists from 22 members including myself. So I give a special thanks to:

Spideyfan914
HG Revolution
Moto Pete
Cradleman
Harlequinn
Fanboy
RySenkari
MonkeyFunk
SuperMegaHyper
Dudely
Togetor
Prof. Mecavio
Urusei Yatsura
Plo_Koon
Integrel Birth
Blankments
Rho
WaggonerCartoons
Azeke
RonDrakenfan17
Radioflyer

Here is how I work these threads. The movie that someone puts in first place receives 20 points and 20th place would receive one point. In order for a movie to make the list, they have to have at least 21 points. Meaning that each movie needs to appear on more than one list in order to make the countdown. Without further ado, we shall begin!

First off, the movies that received enough points to qualify but still didn't make it:

Lupin III: The Castle of Caligostro
Lilo & Stitch

And now, the countdown!

#50 Pokemon Movie: 2000

I would put Mewtwo Strikes Back above it, but this is easily the second best Pokemon movie for me. I always loved the Legendary Birds and the movie did a great job with them.

#49 The Triplets of Belleville

I haven't seen this one, but I've heard stellar things about it. And I absolutely love the animation. I believe that I caught a small portion of it while channel surfing one day and thinking that it looked like an excellent piece of animation.

#48 The Polar Express

I'm thrilled that this movie made the list. I'm love Christmas and this movie did something extremely rare for modern Christmas movies: It captured the true spirit of Christmas. It means a lot to me because when I was starting to lose some Christmas spirit, it reminded me of the magic.

#47 Mulan

Here is a really underrated Disney movie. It had great characters, my favorite was Mushu voiced by Eddie Murphy. The animation was excellent and had stunning visuals. It has been a while since I've seen it and I really want to again.

I'll be posting 4 a day until the Top 10 where I will post one at a time. Enjoy!

30 - I really liked it, but it seemed to become the point for me where Spongebob peaked.

29 - I still find myself humming "Blame Canada" for some reason.

28 - I have neither seen nor heard of this. However, it looks interesting.

27 - A fitting end to DCAU's Jester of Crime.

Songebob 7 southpark higher then movies such as Mulan, the cat returns, totoro, hercules. etc....has the world gone mad!??

aside from that though, pretty good list!:radda::chowder:

In my opinion Poke'mon 3 is the best of the Poke'mon movies.

I'm not excited to see Polar Express on the list, it was really boring to be honest, not to mention it had creepy animation.

Mulan probably does deserve to be higher, but I didn't have room for it on my list. (i think, did i put it on there? I can't remember, lol). I thought it would be top 30 though. seen clips of Polar Express, the only thing i really enjoyed was Josh Groban's "Believe" that accompanied it. great song. neither have seen nor plan on seeing the other two. Lilo and Stitch should have made the list, though.

Return of the Joker is way too low, I personally had it in my top 10. still, glad to know it made the list, it's just an awesome movie. South Park is funny, so it's nice to see it on the list. haven't seen the other two.

Definitely agreed. I would rather not have Spongebob on the list at all... I haven't seen South Park, but I doubt I would like it, I really hate crude humor, it's disgusting and repulsive. If the movie is like the TV show then good luck asking me to watch it!

I'm actually glad about Spongebob and South Park rank on the list, I thought Spongebob movie was pretty good, and South Park is one of my favorite musical movies in general. I think they also retained the same fun I have from when I watched them on TV and brought to the big screen. Return of the Joker is also a nice feature as well. Haven't even heard of Kirikou & The Sorceress until now.

No, I believe that about 4 people did, actually.

Yep, I almost forgot. I'll update 8 today to catch up a little.

#26 Porco Rosso

Haven't seen this one yet, but I've heard amazing things.

#25 The Little Mermaid
200px-Movie_poster_the_little_mermaid.jpg

I just read recently in Entertainment magazine that they considered this film one of the chief influences in animation and compared to Up in this generation. I'd agree, it is a fantastic film and had an excellent villain in Urusla as well as a great storyline.

#24 Cars
200px-Cars_2006.jpg

Many people consider this the worst of the Pixar films but I'd disagree. I just saw it recently and it it really has great humor and a great message. I believe that it's very deserving of this spot.

#23 Fantasia
Fantasia-poster-1940.jpg

Ah, now this is my favorite movie ever. I wish that it had ranked much higher than this as it is a Top 5 worthy film. If you haven't seen it and you are an appreciator of animation and/or music, I recommend that you see it right away. Because this is the greatest blend of those 2 ever put together and I truly believe that. Each sequence is some of the finest cinema ever created all leading up to Night at Bald Mountain, where we meet Chernabog, the Disney demon.

#22 Beauty and the Beast
200px-Beautybeastposter.jpg

I believe that this one was the first animated feature to ever be nominated for Best Picture. And it was very deserving. It had an excellent score and screenplay and while Gaston wasn't really one of the strongest Disney villains ever, he was still pretty good.

#21 Ponyo
200px-Ponyo.jpg

I say again, (And I will again after this) that this was an excellent year for animation. If Toon Zone thinks so highly of Ponyo, I'm surprised that it wasn't nominated for Best Animated Feature in the Oscars. I haven't seen it yet myself but seemed to get very good reviews.

#20 Pinocchio
Pinocchio-1940-poster.jpg

And we reach the Top 20. That means that this really is the average list, so the most credibility comes here. I'm thrilled Pinocchio made it, it is one of the biggest and best animated classics ever. The second Disney movie failed to disappoint.

#19 Batman: Mask of the Phantasm
200px-Batman_mask_of_the_phantasm_poster.jpg

I haven't seen this one yet, but if it made it this high up, it must be incredible.
