Toonzone's Top 50 Animated Movies!

To be honest, I'm not a big fan of The Lion King.

As for Spirited Away, it was like a Japanese Alice in Wonderland on Steroids. If you like fantasy, then you should like it.

Lion King's great, but I was hoping it'd make #1, even though I like Wall-E better, simply because I don't think Wall-E is deserving of the title, while I can at least see the argument for Lion King. Well, I'll just have to hope for Spirited Away even though I've never seen it.

Well, you guys know who the Final 2 are. Who is the winner? Find out now!

I admit it's not the exact result I would have chosen. I have a feeling it will change juristically in 5 years. Either way, it's been fun. Thanks everyone who participated!

My one complaint is that Wall-E beat some really good movies. It's a good movie, I had it on my list, but I felt that Spirited Away, Lion King, etc. were better. I'm alright with this placement, but it just doesn't feel right.

Well, I'll comment on these.

Spirited Away: My all-time favorite movie. I've seen it literally over 40 times, and it is just a masterpiece to me.

Wall-E: A really good, quality animated film. Not much else to say I guess.

I had it 7th, personally, behind 3 other Pixar films(Incredibles, Up, and Toy Story). I have no problem with its finish. Spirited away seems a bit high to me, I'd have preferred it be around 5th. I don't want to see it, although i do understand its appeal to others.

How can you say that it seems high when you've never seen it. Personally I think Spirited Away is a GREAT movie and while it's not the second best of all time to me, it's in my Top 10. It's lame that more of the Disney classics weren't rated higher than they were though. Pixar is great, but I feel that Pinocchio, Snow White, Dumbo, 101 Dalmatians, and Bambi are better than most Pixar flicks.

The Lion King is my all time favorite, and Finding Nemo is my favorite Pixar flick. Wall-E was good but nowhere near the best of all time IMO.

I have to agree myself. I'm happy with the Pixar flicks that have received the accolades on this site, but as of late I've been watching Disney's classics a good amount and I find a good deal of these movies to be as creatively and emotionally investive as I did when watching them as a kid. The use of strong visual work in the hand-drawn classics add a bit of depth to Disney's movies that I find missing in most animated movies made by other companies, although damned if Ghibli doesn't try.

I'm actually not sure if I voted for Wall*E on my list, but I'm definitely sure that I gave Spirited Away and Lion King some love on mine. I'm happy to see each of these make it near the top.

You can't say it's too high, you haven't even seen it. Just because you don't want to see it, doesn't mean it's a bad film.

BTW, the only Pixar films that I really like are Wall-E and Finding Nemo. The others are good, but not amazing to me.

Yeah, but you haven't seen it to know if it appeals to you or not. Two and a half minutes of a trailer isn't going to be enough footage to get a solid feeling over something.

I'm quite happy with Spirited Away being number 2 and WALL*E being number 1, especially since Spirited Away ties for my favorite Miyazaki Movie and Studio Ghibli movie, while WALL*E ties with Monsters Inc, Incredibles, Up, and Toy Story for my favorite Pixar flick. Really good show all around.

Good countdown of 50 animated movies! I have not voted on this poll, and some of the films I have not seen or even heard of, so I can't comment...but most choices made seemed ok to me.
I'm glad Disney Classics such as Lion King and Snow White where included as well as Pixar films, Warner Brothers and Ghibli studios' They do such an amazing work, it's hard to pick # 1 Animated Movie off all time. Everyboody have their own opinions on what that movie should be.
As soon as new animated movies get released our views on which movie should hold top spot would change! :p
Let's do this list again in the the near future!

Pretty good choices all around. Tarzan is one of my favorite recent Disney Films. Persopolis, didn't see the movie, but heard good things about it and took a peek at the comic as well. Sita Sings the Blues, saw it, and loved the story it had, pretty impressive for a movie made with Flash. As for Graves, could be higher, but out of these choices it is one of my favorites, even if I'm depressed for a few days after watching it.

Which movie that won an Oscar are you talking about?
I think they all won Oscars at some point in time. I'm 100% sure.
Looks like your predictions are coming true. These are all good movies to claim the last 5 spots.
