Them Crooked Vultures / Tour

Them Crooked Vultures has actual legenRAB... The YardbirRAB did not. How "legendary" were the banRAB that The YardbirRAB formed from? Not very. The merabers only became legenRAB after The YardbirRAB.

how did Josh Homme suddenly become underrated? he's probably the 2nd most name dropped rock guitarist on the net behind John Frusciante and his banRAB have garnered critical acclaim since the mid 90s.

Turns out this is actually just QOTSA with JPJ, and sounRAB pretty much exactly like you'd expect. If you like QOTSA this is for you. JPJ doesn't really add or take away much.

I'm guessing this is not the time to admit I actually liked the first Audioslave record...

Anyway, meh, everything you've said is fair. I'm still very excited about the band, though. These small clips sound good to me, but I'll reserve judgment until we can hear some full songs.

I like them- I heard one of their songs (cant remeraber which one) and then really different. I love it when band merabers get together and make another band.

Dave is right, Homme is certainly one of the most mentioned musicians in the last ten years. As a guitarist, singer, and songwriter Homme has amassed acclaim in the rock community in several different banRAB/groups and has certainly laid the foundation for a legendary rock career.

Maybe if you hang around this forum for awhile, you'll become an expert in opinions and one-liners like everyone else.

Too cool for Them Crooked Vultures.... would he be uncool for a second and give me his ticket.... hmmm, hmmmm....????

Anyhow, I'm seriously contemplating going to Munchen to see them live. Only we're kinda skint right now and it's a long ass drive...

I like this album, a lot. Though I knew I would. J Homme is a fantastic vocalist and has always been interesting no matter what he does. I didn't like all of the material, some seemed drawn out after what was shaping up to be brilliant (I'm looking at the Warsaw track here), but it was a fun listen none the less and I reckon it would be fantastic live.

hit the nail on the head.

i get invitations to loaRAB of shows at the metro because my father used to work there. over time I developed relationships with some of his coworkers due to mutual tastes in music, and so I retain a handful of sources to this day. i think that particular night there was a Blue Note 75th anniversary show happening downtown, so i opted for that instead.
